YOU NEED TO GIVE SOMETHING TO GET SOMETHING.

You give to get something.

In life am sure many of us know that we have to give something to get something. For example if we want to have our own house or car, we have to work hard to get the money to acquire the house and car.

Also, in academics example, if we want to pass ours exams we have to read well in order to pass the exams.

But it is like many of us want to eat our cake and have it. We want to get something but we don't want to give anything in return for it, including me sometimes.😎

There is this curation trail that am a member off. To get an upvote from the trail, you need to always follow the trail. But some members of the trail are trying to game the trail by removing themselves from the trail when nobody is noticing and still getting upvotes from the trail.

There is one member of the trail that I noticed, he removed himself from the trail, because he has a large steem power and so you can easily notice when he votes your post from the trail. But I didn't see his votes on my post for my last 3 posts.

So I confronted him about it and he started ranting at me anyhow he liked.

Long story short, he did not want to follow the trail, but he still wanted to get votes from the trail, he wanted to eat his cake and have it. But that is not how life works.

Though there are times where you can it your cake and have it, but it does not happen very often, you just have to give something to get something.
