THERE MIGHT STILL BE CHANCE FOR STEEM TO WIN THE NETCOIN LISTING CONTEST.

in #busy6 years ago

Though we did not win, but We gave it our all. We voted our hearts out to win the number one spot in the gonetcoins listing contest. Since the start of the contest, i literally saw different post campaigning for us to go vote so that we can win the contest and the community delivered.

Though I was expecting us to win this because we have a large community. We have over one million users on steemit, so I was expecting us to win this easily. Though less than 1% of this number are active on steemit, but even at this I expected us to still win this because I think we have over 13,000 active users on steemit on a daily bases.

So, if this 13,000 were voting over the one week period the contest was on, we should have at least got close to fifty something thousand votes, but we ended up with 20,000 votes.

But away I still commend the way those who came to support steem came out. It showed that you really value steem and you wanted it to succeed, but it was not to be, at least in the poll.

But we, might still have a chance to win I think. At the end of the contest, the site congratulated that contestants with this message.

From the message, you can see that they that they will review the votes before announcing the final winner next week. So to me it means that there could be votes that were not legit.

As far as am concerned this INS coins that came first cheated. I think there were bots voting for them because mass voting were coming in for them at once. So there votes to me are suspicious. Away let, us wait till next week for the final results of the winner to be announced.

I keep my fingers crossed for the announcement next week because I feel that we can still win this.

@yaanivapeji.

Have a lovely week everyone.

I voted, several times, legitimately.

I also noticed that several challengers would pull to the front on "sudden surges" and then fall back when 1000s of their votes were discounted. Although INS definitely is a "real" coin project, the fact that they went from about 3,000 to 20,000+ votes in the last 12 hours is highly suspect. I have spent enough time in web marketing to understand that 19K twitter followers will NOT generate 17K votes in 12 hours, and it would require a mailing list of approximately 1.7 million with the promise of "free coins" to generate that many votes... and they do not have a mailing list of 1.7 million, I can assure you.

Steem was the ONLY one of the top five coins to have their votes increase in a "steady surge," which is the typical pattern of a grassroots campaign.

My guess is that someone (probably NOT INS) took it upon themselves to buy 20,000 anonymous votes (there are services that will do that, although they are mostly used to "inflate" likes on Facebook pages), having bought a bunch of this coin ahead of time, and taking the risk that they could dump it at a profit if INS spiked on a win. $500 invested in votes; gain $500K on trading the coin... it's a no-brainer for someone with zero ethics.

I am also hopeful that the folks at NetCoins will examine the votes closely enough and perhaps figure out that the election was rigged.

Bright Blessings!

Yah, the election was really rigged, hehehehehe!!!

I never knew that votes could be bought, I guess we have desperate people in the world that can go to any length to achieve anything.

Let keep our fingers crossed until the winner is annouced @whitelightxpress. We can still win this.

-Regards

Have a great week @whitelightxpress.

Was very surprised to see that kind of vote for isn. If they review is well steem will make waves .

Yah, something shady about their votes. I hope it comes to light.

It will surely.
