STEEM IS NOT A PONZI SCHEME.

Hello everyone,

There was a friend of mine that I invited join steemit and he joined sometimes last year, but he has not been active on the platform. Wondering why he was not active on steemit, I asked him why he was not active on the platform and he told me that it is because it is hard to earn here.

Am sure he thought that, the moment he post, the votes will come raining down his post.

But I told him that, Yah!!!! It is hard to earn on steemit, because steem is not a ponzi scheme. It is only in a ponzi scheme, that you can expect quick turnover.

You can't come into steemit and expect to start making a lot on your post very quickly. You have to be active on steemit, posting regularly and building relationships and these takes time.

By building relationships, you have to consistently upvote people's post and they will in time start upvoting your post too and you will be getting more votes on your post.. But Not everyone that you try to build a relationship with will respond positively, so the secret is that you should build relationships with many people.

I also told him that, if he wants to be successful on steemit a little bit quicker, then he should invest some funds on steem. When you invest funds on steem, your votes will have more value and you will get more rewards on your post. But even at this, no matter how much funds you invest on steem, it will still take you quite a while to get back fully your investment.

So, to be successful on steemit, you need patience and this is because steem is not a ponzi scheme.

This is how far I, explained to him. If you have more to tell him, you can say it in the comment section and I will relate it to him.

Thank you.

@yaanivapeji.

It's a bit of a popularity contest too. People who are popular do better than others. If people are not interested in your areas of expertise, you will not do very well either.

I came to Steemit to write about private investigation and residential security, and I did that for a while. It was enjoyable and helped me become better at my craft.

It was a good investment regardless of how much money I made, and the money I made was mostly from buying STEEM when it was low and selling it when it was high.

That aspect of it is a huge turn off for most people. People "pumped and dumped" it. I never pumped it, but I saw the crash in price coming. Before I lost my initial investment, I secured it by partially cashing out.

Oh, I see @finnian. Thanks for your contribution.

But why are you really no more active on steem?

All the bickering and fighting between whales in the past made me lose interest. The drama on here made logging in and participating stressful. I don't like stress and avoid it as if it were poison. :)

Hahahahahaha!!!! Me too. But, where I come from, steem is like an opportunity that I cannot afford to miss, so I somehow looked for away to block out all those fight from my steem experience.
