High Risk Investments are... Well, High Risk
In a chatroom this morning I watched a conversation scroll by where people were feeling down and out because of lack of progress on a project they had supported financially.
The idea they had been "cheated" was the unspoken undercurrent.
I've seen many here who judge the "idea" of a project first.
The order I like to work in is...
Who is working on it? (how successful have their other projects been?)
What is the plan? (Are they being realistic?)
Finally, I might get around to ..
Is it a good idea... (does someone need or want this?)
There is another solid approach too, which is just to throw some money at a lot of projects and hope some or one of them sticks and is successful.
Anyway, 9 out of 10 business fail, even in the real world...
Even when carefully evaluated ideas can fail for other reasons as well..
Don't invest more than you can afford to lose!
Steem is high risk, anything built on Steem is double the risk!
Everyone who does anything at all should be rewarded with a Lambo just for trying, and if they do happen to lose something, they should get refunded twice the value of what they put in. All investments, no matter what they are should be guaranteed to return 200% at least, enforceable by law. Any time spent doing anything at all should also earn Steem, even if it is not on Steem or in no way related to anything the Steem community wants or needs.

So uh, I was asleep for like 7 hours tonight, I don't see the STEEM in my wallet for that, can I get my STEEM at 7.25 STEEM/hour * 7 for a total of 50.75. Maybe I'll invest that into dLive, should get like 10000000000000000000 STEEM out of it in like 2 hours.

My lambo was the wrong color, now I want them in blue and black.
That is the way it works. If they aren't the right blue and black, you will get to choose another 4 colours and til we get it right.

Before I joined STEEMIT and crypto I was invested on HYIP (High Yield Investment Programs) and suffered by lots of scams! But now I got something much more better than that! We can't be millionaires or billionaires in a single night! Only scammers can do!

I think it all comes back to the false sense of entitlement that many have come to consider they have. Not only here but everywhere; school, business and even charity! As you have said in the past, life isn’t fair!

Hey! uhm... I think I am not as vain and snooty as to expect or ask for a Lambo or a Tesla nor anything like that through my risky investments here.
¿Can I just invite to each one of you to a kinda small outdoors rave party here in my place?
The only condition to enter & participate will be that everyone bring their own box of beers or booze with them to enjoy the party fully in a healthy way and have a good time.
Oh! and yeah, that at the time of the afterparty, everyone must be already drunk enough and willing to lend me a hand with all those empty plastic boxes to build me a nice stable home in the spot for years to come. :)
Perhaps and if we are creative, artsy and posh enough with the decoration of my new 'home' we could also enjoy a good laughter when everyone needs to use the bathroom too. };)
back when crypto was flying high in Dec 2017 everyone became and expert overnight. Many people got involved late in the bull run and those same people are complaining about how they were "cheated by the system." Before I got involved in this game I did traditional stocks, the safe bets took a long time to make money and the risky ones rarely paid off... that is just the nature of the game and like someone else already said "don't invest more than you can afford to lose"

A long ago I read that one of guys on steemit invested 400 btc in steem. I forgot who. Is that hard way or he'll be the one with Lambo?
Oh, ouch! That's terrible for him. But as you said, if he has held on maybe we will all be jealous at some point.
