Bullrun 2019, Yeah I mean Crypto... Market Blindness

Do you remember which search engine you used first? Depending on your age the answer will be very different.

In my first days of the Internet, one of my favorites was an early version of WebCrawler. But they didn't win the Internet on in the long haul. Hardly any of the people who invented the Internet ended up running huge successful companies on the Internet because inventors and developers don't know how to run huge companies.

In fact they know how to make great technology and they always want it to be better so they keep working on the great technology to make it better. They ignore Market conditions and Marketing, and strategic alliances because they just don't even see it. They are BLIND to it.

The 2019 Bullrun will be defined by people who do know how to run companies, they will begin hiring, and buying up great tech. They will farm the best cryptos for talent and users.

Those projects that are blind to what is happening in the market space will be left behind.

Engineers, like Dan will realize there are skills they don't have and they will surround themselves with a company that can support their great ideas.

When the internet was new people didn't yet know what it would be in the future. There were many who thought it was about Freedom of Information, communication and yes... drug deals and crime were talked about in the early days as well. Sound familiar?

By the time it went mainstream the ideals of the early inventors were mostly gone because the space was now ruled by mainstream and they had real use cases for it. The darknet is still out there and there are still some that use it and for that I am happy. Those things will never go mainstream.

So, you have to pick some in crypto... things that are going to get big and make money or things that remain true to original ideas and remain off the main path.

Personally, I am investing in some of both.

Web crawler for sure was one of the first I used. Maybe Alta Vista. I don't really remember how it looked but those words came to mind when reading your article.

Back in my day.... we had to dial in to get onto the internet...

That sound is forever burned into my mind.

Yep... As I've mentioned... Also AOL.

I started with Ask Jeeves in 98

Probably AskJeeves I think.

One of the things I'm also interested in, here in this project is if some of the other tasks that you mentioned, like Marketing can be effectively decentralized. That would be a real paradigm shift and a huge innovation/development. The SPS is is probably the best path forward for this.

Yep, I was hoping the SPS would drop and be accumulating funds by now. Sigh.

Archie, Infoseek, Lycos, Excite, AltaVista, AllTheWeb...
Those were the days !

It was nice and fun and no one knew how it would go... :)

Yes indeed. Maybe one day (far far from now) we will say this about PAL and ENG

I may get hate for this but fact are facts. EOS and block.one are in the right path in my opinion. They are following the paths how google got started. There are many examples of this but don’t let me sway anyone’s opinions, they have to do their own research 😉

Sleek work you have here.
