Just before my trip to Russia, on October 12, our Italian family had a very important event - we baptized our second grandson Giosue'. "Go ye therefore, and teach all Nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy spirit... he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved" (MT 28: 19; MK 16, 16) — these words of Christ the Lord established the first of the seven sacraments: the sacrament of Baptism. As the Bible says:"in the sacrament of baptism Christ washes us from the original sin, releases all sins committed before baptism, gives the supernatural gift of the sanctifying grace of God, revives the children of God to a new life and includes in the community of the People of God."

The husband's daughter and the child's father made a decision to cross the child consciously in order to give him the protection of God. Prepared for the event in advance. About a month before the important event, they turned to the Church with the wish to perform the baptism ceremony for their second child. We got prete's consent and set a date. The baptism took place on Sunday, because on this day the Church celebrates the Easter mystery, so all the relatives came near and far. This is actually an important event not only for the one who will be baptized, but also for his relatives. So in our family, relatives living on the other end of Italy, in Naples, bought tickets and flew to the baptism of the baby, to us in Torino, in the North of Italy. Godparents were chosen by mom and dad. The godmother is Serena's cousin and Marco's godfather. The task of the godparents is to accompany Giosue ' in life by his example, prayer and support the religious life of his godson. The cross I knew it was the niece of husband of Monica, she really, really loves children. And I'm glad of that choice.

Baptism is accomplished by the external sign-three times watering the head of the baptized with water, which symbolizes purification, and in the words: "I baptize you in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy spirit."

The Liturgy of the sacrament of the baptism of children consists of 4 parts:

1. The child was dressed in white clothes with the words: "Accept the light of Christ parents", so that the child remained faithful to his faith.

4. Completion of the ceremony. Where prete declares to all present that our child, reborn in the sacrament of baptism, has been given a new life because he has become a child of God. In conclusion, we all sing "our Father" and then prete blessed the mother and father of the child and us all. We congratulate each other with the great joy of the baptism of our baby and leave the Church, keep the way to the restaurant. In Italy, baptism as a wedding, celebrated on a Grand scale, ordered a restaurant for 50-100 people, it all depends on the number of relatives and close friends. Usually these celebrations parents are not stingy and tables groaning with food. The restaurant was in a very picturesque place, with a beautiful view of the hills and forests, and since it was autumn, imagine what colors was painted this magnificent view from the window from pale green to bright yellow with splashes of red.

The day was truly important and memorable, for our baby began a new life without sin, we Wish him to grow strong, healthy and be faithful Catholic.
