Millionaires Series-Desire
When ever i sit down to watch the television and listen to the life story of millionaires or wealthy folks, they all seem to come from a poor family. They all seem to work like their lives depends on it. They seem to tell us all sort of things such as hardwork, honesty and faithfulness. They will list down some moral rules which actually got them there. All their stories seems to be coming from a single trend. One thing that stands out in most of these stories is desire.

In this world, you can never accomplish anything if you dont have the desire for it. I once asked a friend of mine if he wanted to be rich and he quickly replied; no. I was amazed by his answer because i have never heard anybody with that mentality before. I thought everyone wanted the best money can buy in life. I was disappointed by the friend because he had different desires. He desired for two wifes and a bicycle and a small house. So all his life and journey is geared towards that settlement. With such a desire in you groins, how will one strive exceedingly hard to achieve the millionaire status. I even believe he will throw away all his riches if he mistakenly ends up a millionaire.
That moment was the time i realised that the first step to success in all fields is the desire. I had to learn and grow my desire to become a millionaire. To desire for something, you must want it. After wanting that particular thing, you must graduate to needing it. At this point you begin to have faith in having it and the plans to get it starts popping in your head. Trust me, several plans will come into your head, you dont want to follow the fastest ones because most of them are illegal. You are still young and have time by your side so you can go in for slow but sure way to it.
Desire is like a fire. It starts small and as you grow it, it has a tipping point when everything becomes automated and all its repercussions continues. To become a millionaire, simply desire and draw a plan to attaining it. Thanks for reading this piece.
It's awesome to here stories like this but the truth is that statastics have proven that a majority of the wealthy people on the planet came from family's wealth. More opportuniy etc Its more like .01 percent of people get wealth from being poor lol
I highly disagree with you on this. There are "old money" families and there are self-made millionaires. I believe @tj4real speaks of the latter in this blog.
Its great to think that but Its just simply a FACT that there are very few self made millionaires vs family wealth. Do some research :))

It great to hear such story. Every dream chaser has dream. I believe sometimes God let some of us to be in a poor family so we can be focus to achieve the reason why he brought us to earth. Those people do that and set as inspiration to others to believe that hard working pays.
Yh. We all have different purposes. I believe its not your fault you are not rich if you were born in a poor family. But it definitely your fault if your children are born into a poor family
Desire indeed is needed to attain the millionaire status. Another crucial element is Sacrifice that is we must be able to sacrifice our comfort on the alter of hardwork to achieve our stated goals.
Yeah. Sacrifice is a key component to achieving the millionaire status quo and it cannot be underestimated. After 1 sacrifice comes another.

You are very right @tj4real desire is what drives us to attain a specific goals in life.
If someone lack it, it means he or she will not be able to give 100% to whatever he or she lays hand upon.
I have had a story of my friend which came from a very wealthy family but because he lack desire to achieve, commitment towards his life, he found himself poor despite his background.
I really learn a lot from this post as it encourages me to have total commitment and a great desire towards my goals and objective.
Being born into a millionaire family doesnt necessarily make you a millionaire. Let a goat stay in a house for all its life time, It will never learn to talk like humans. It has no desire for that. Desire is what distinguishes the rich from the poor. Its not an ordinary desire but a shear and brutal one
Yes brother, successful people have a great desire towards there objective, but what really affecting some people is inability to believe in what they do which promt failure.
Very nice article you shared.I just want to add two more things to achieve the dream or desire viz: patience and determination.Because one may have a desire to be millionere or....But the path to fulfill once desire is not easy ,sometime it is hopelessness.so i think determination is must.It is a long way and one must have patience to achieve the desire.....,Thankyou for your nice post.

My father once told me, if you want to learn how to play a musical instrument, go to the instrumentalist. He is well vexed in the affairs of musical instruments. As such if you want to become a millionaire why not go to the millionaires
