The Key To Control: Fear

Fear is something that we are so accustomed to that we do not realize how destructive it is. By engaging in this, we allow ourselves to be controlled. This is something that is conditioned in us and used by those who are there to "protect us".
Our buying into fear is what allows for the wars to take place. It enables politicians to blast through our rights and pass laws that favor them. Advertisers use this to buy products we do not need. We feel bad about ourselves so we seek to fill the void with what they tout as the solution. Drugs, alcohol, sex, money, power, prestige are what we are led to believe is what we need.
We have an entire economic and political system that is erected around this. Think of all the businesses and institutions that exist simply because we are afraid. Consider how many actions are taken out of fear and envy. This is, of course, affirmed by the media and Hollywood who churn out violence and hatred.
Many of our religions espouse the idea that it is good to "fear God". Naturally, the solution to this is to turn to them for your "salvation". Money always helps in this endeavor.
We fear disease like it is something natural. Our conditioning means we run to the nearest doctor to get the latest drug. There are even "preventative" drugs that people are taking. In fact, they are now even going one further. A woman in my neighborhood got her breasts hacked off because she has a gene in her that might cause breast cancer.
Think about that for a second.
Technology is something to fear. The Terminator scenario is drilled into our psyche. Our entire existence centers around conflict and war. Anything new means there will be a battle. Few take the time to consider that something could appear with the desire to help.
Our fear based reality will not allow that possibility.
There are bullies so we need anti-bullying legislation. Terrorism exists so we wage a war on terror. In the United States, since we have hatred, anti-hate speech in Congress was passed.
Let us not forget about the climate. We are doomed unless we get go renewable in the next decade. By 2030, we are cooked, literally is what we are told.
But then again, 40 years ago, we were going to be frozen in a block of ice.
We fear the future and the unknown. Our desire is certainty which is impossible in an uncertain world. Nothing stays the same yet we cling to what we know. Stepping outside of that, either physically or mentally is sheer terror.
Hence we turn to those with the answers. Doctors, lawyers, priests, politicians, and the media all serve as our experts. Since we do not know, surely they must. I will say, they do tell a good story.
Few ever consider how their beliefs come about. What is sad is, for most, they are a product of conditioning. It is this belief system, once identified that gives others the power to manipulate. Without a sense of self, we are at the whim of others.
Do you care what others think? Most will answer no yet they spend a great deal of time looking for validation. Being a part of the universe (God, consciousness, energy, love, vibration, ethos, or whatever term one wants to use) is not enough. In fact, few believe that either.
It is easy to believe in scarcity. After all, it is what we are sold daily in most aspects of life. This plays into our greed and our thirst for more. We seek out more toys, power, and control. Once we get that, then we will be comfortable.
Of course, fear knows no financial bounds. The wealthy are some of the most fearful. They build gated communities that they live behind believing that will keep them safe. The put their money with financial advisers who surely will keep it safe and make it grow. They insure, insulate, and separate in an effort to squash the fear that is ever present within them.
It is time to let all that crap go. Not only is it poison, it is a total mirage. We are moving into a completely new era where all of this is a total joke.
Those who are on here paying attention are witnessing a new economy evolve. Crypto-economics is a real thing and it is present on Steem. In fact, the Steem ecosystem is one of the best examples of this new model. Over the next couple years, bet on the explosion that is building.
Money is just one area that is being attacked. I laughed when I read that only 110 of some 200 plus countries allow Bitcoin. Allow Bitcoin? Like they have a choice. The power of cryptocurrency is that it is borderless, nationless, and does NOT require permission.

Yet governments are trying to control it. No matter, even fewer realize that governments are sitting ducks. Does anyone who is familiar with what is taking place believe that the government establishment stands a chance? Part of what will unfold in the next few years is a new form of governance.
One of the main reasons why blockchain and crypto-economics is going to change the world is because it smashes fear. It provides an option to the system almost all of us are presently living under. The scarcity model is about to die.
Picture how your life would be without fear. I am not referring to the fight or flight response that is inherent in us. What I mean is to isolate the modern fear that is viral in our society Few face life or death situations on a daily basis yet we still have the biological response like we do. Now ponder what it would be like not to be that way.
It is learned. This is not something that is natural within you. Being stressed out about the future is a conditioning that serves others well. Always seeing the negative and down side to things plays right into their hands.
We are in a changing world. Humanity is on a different course. The past 5 years saw a major shift that is, honestly, only beginning. Each year brings another step further into the new energy that is being created. Part of it is witnessed on a platform like Steem. Those who see the possibilities have a much different "aura" to them as compared to those who refuse to see them.
It is that fear that enables them to control us With the new energy that is arising, we are seeing the control mechanism starting to die. Think about your life when you are earning 50 or 75 different tokens on a monthly basis for doing things that you presently do now. How will that change your life?
Consider it a pipe dream? This is what is starting to take place on Steem.
Reduce the fear and you will see the control reduced

I discovered fear was my good friend. After that, I wasn't troubled by it. I listen to it with fondness, and then decide what to do based on reason and judgment, and not fear alone. Fear is a good friend because it always wants to warn me of danger, and it's good to know of danger.
It's not always good to flee from danger, or fight it's source though, and that's where reason comes in.
I had to laugh at the comparison between the impending doom of the ice age, and global overheating. It's too true that the enemedia can't just report some facts or data, but has to somehow craft an existential threat out of whatever story it can weave from data - whether that data is trustworthy or not. This makes the enemedia entirely untrustworthy, and I consider their stories in that light.
The thing about using reason to moderate fear is not to denigrate fear, or ignore it, but to differentiate between things we can do something about, and things we can't. Climate change needs to be considered in the latter camp. We also can then choose, if something can be done, whether doing what can be done is a good idea. Many times it's not. Then we get to choose between various actions, when action is advisable, and that gives us control again.
The truth is we are in control of ourselves. That is all we can really ask for, after all.
Self control is nothing to be afraid of.

I think what is often the worst part is that we often think that we are still in control no matter the situation but the velocity of information is changing that and will bring a newfound view of many things although it may be another generation before it proliferates.

Not literally cooked, but scientists say that we won't be able to avoid the worst effects of climate change in the future if we don't take action by 2030. As for the block of ice predictions, they were made by journalists and not scientists.
Of course, we can clearly see that fear is a motivating factor in climate skepticism. Penn Jillette, the well known entertainer, is a very vocal climate skeptic, yet he admitted in a television interview that he's not skeptical of the science, but of our ability to find a solution which doesn't involve bigger government or conservation. There was no courage in his words.
