Steem Getting Ready To Moon In 2019: The Last Week Proves It

in #busy6 years ago

No, I am not talking about the price. I have no idea where that will go although I do think that it will be a bullish year. That said, 2018 was a spectacular year in the world of blockchain with many projects moving forward. Nowhere is this more true than on the Steem blockchain.

For that reason, Steem is getting ready to blast off. The last couple weeks saw a couple of things that are really going to change the state of this blockchain.

To start, as we are all aware, we are now on State of the DApps. This is vitally important to raise visibility of the Steem blockchain. Think about it: Steem is now listed alongside Ethereum and EOS, two of the better known blockchains. We are also holding our own showing the usage of the DApps on this blockchain.

Which brings up the next point. I saw this post by @aggroed today and I took it as a call to action for all of us. Being listed on State of the DApps means we have the potential for much greater visibility. It is up to us to make sure we maximize that potential.

Post once daily. Play one game of Steem Monsters.

The challenge is before us. We should all strive to populate the top of the list with Steem based applications. This means each of us doing our part. Logging into the different applications and posting is imperative. It is a numbers game now. That is what is going to garner the attention. Eyeballs that are on that site will see the top applications and, perhaps, come over to check it out. That is why it is necessary to get the applications on here ranking.

If you are one who is not active on Steem, help us in our quest by doing so. Start using some different applications. Any increase in the numbers is of great help. Many of the applications are simple to use. As @aggroed stated, post once daily. Play one game of Steem Monsters.

We are also seeing some of the applications themselves starting to make progress. For example, I know @actifit is talking to a major global company that everyone on here will know. I was taken aback when I was told the name because I did not realize they were in the wearable industry. Of course, I am not an expert on that market so there are many involved I am not aware of. The point is this company is not only interested in integrating the Actifit application into their products but also, possibly using the AFIT token for some things.

We will see how it goes and if we get an announcement from them about that.

There is another announcement that caught my attention. It was a post by @therealwolf. Here is what was posted in the article:

Yesterday, or rather, the whole last week something happened, which didn't get the publicity it deserved.

I agree.

There was a Press Release sent out as it pertains to Tumblr and the banning of content in the NSFW category. This displaced tens of thousands of users. These users will all be eligible to become Steemians.

@partiko archived more than 50K Tumbler NSFW accounts (53,588 to be exact). The account holders can go to the Partiko page and claim their account. Once they do this, they can have it posted to the Partiko platform.

The Partiko Team has requested all NSFW Tumblr page owners to visit their website welcome.partiko.app and claim their old Tumblr content.

The Partiko team will allow users to publish their archived content on to their platform once the content has been claimed.

That is 50K people who are instantly eligible to become Steemians. Not only is their content been saved but they have the opportunity to actually monetize it. What is attractive about these users is that monetization is not their primary focus but an added bonus.

This is all exciting news. Many question the value of blockchain. The situation with Tumblr is a prime example of what blockchain can focus upon. The fact that censorship is so easy in the centralized world shows why we should promote blockchain. Here is an example of accounts that were displaced because of a corporate decision. That would not be possible on the Steem blockchain.

We are seeing the foundation being laid. It is up to us to keep the momentum going. There are a lot of opportunities on this blockchain already, with more to come. We are seeing the developers of these applications pushing their projects ahead. This will only help us going forward.

It is important to keep in mind that while we can get caught up with the issues we have on here, we are not the only ones struggling. Many like to toss the name of other blockchains that are "doing better". So far, the numbers are not proving that. Steem is among the top blockchains in usage. We need to remember that.

There is outside attention being sought. We are not going to see a magical moment when everyone realizes they have to be on Steem. Good thing since the sign up process still cannot handle it.

However, as we see the continual evolution of the blockchain, there will be more attention drawn to it. This is where consistency and community enter the picture. It will take all of us to moon Steem in 2019.

We are primed for it.

Hell, even @steemitblog sent out a reasonably optimistic post.

That is very clever of partiko to do.

Earlier I read an article about Pinterest banning Greenmedinfo, a respected health organization. Link: https://www.collective-evolution.com/2018/12/19/pinterest-bans-greenmedinfo-for-posting-peer-reviewed-research-questioning-vaccine-safety/.

Very promising indeed.. steem on dude!

I guess I will need to hold off my off time and continue posting like a maniac across the ecosystem to support this initiative! Joking aside, the ecosystem is clearly being built for mass adoption in the coming years and the scalability and flexibility shown will continue to attract developers and more expansion to the protocol.

😂 😂 😂
All this news Is making me happy, very funny is the #nsfw coming on board, oh my, get ready, we are going to be seeing some real ass, boobs and all that. Oh my.

On a serious note, this really shows steem is going higher by the day, and she is here to stay, but I know more effort can still be put in place to make it go mainstream.
