Small ThinkingsteemCreated with Sketch.

At work, we recently got a new leader. He is someone who comes from outside the area. The company I work for was acquired a few years back by a major corporation. Before that, it was a family run organization.

The acquiring company left everything in place the first couple years. This is their approach. After seeing how things worked, they started the change. Hence the new leadership.

I met this this gentleman the other day. Over lunch, he asked me why we do not have any $1M producers. He said it was the norm for a portion of his sales force to be at that level. I was blown away. Our top producers are usually in the $500,000 range. In the 51 year history, there was 1 person who hit $1M in a year and it was done one time.

Yesterday I sent an email thanking the new guy for his time in the field with me. I also mentioned that I like the plan he was setting forth for the company, something that was missing for years. This is something that I could earnestly get behind.

His reply was that he appreciated my efforts and thought my skills are off the charts. Being in this business 37 years, this guy is not one to try and buffalo. He can size things up very easily.

Then he laid it on me: He wrote that he could see me being a million dollar producer.

WTF? Now I stepped into it.

Obviously, I am humbled by his assessment of me. However, this does show the difference in this guy's thinking versus what I am accustomed to. Our company looked at the market completely different than he does. He does not think small.

Now we are to transition. To do this, changes have to be made. For me, it is something within. As @wwf likes to point out, we can only change ourselves. It all starts between our ears.

The truth is we were playing in the minor leagues. This guy is a heavy hitter. He is not into small production. That is not how he is wired.

My reasoning for bringing this all up is because we need to take a look at this on Steem. How often do we compare this blockchain to some in the top 10 and believe we are bit players? How many point to things that are "problems" right now yet will not mean much in the long run? There is a saying about tripping over molehills, do we participate in that?

Small thinking comes through in our behavior. On here, it is transferred in what we write. Our posts and comments denote how our mindset is. For those into energy, focus, or manifestation, you understand what is being created. Fortunately, there are many who are optimistic about the Steem ecosystem and promoting the idea of near infinite potential.

Blockchain is a state of anarchy. This is a wonderful path to freedom if we so choose it. It also shows our love for tyranny, slavery, and pettiness. Ultimately, it is all a choice. One of the main challenges with decentralization is people evolving to the point where they can handle it. The truth is most cannot. Simply look at their behavior. It is like an alcoholic at an open bar.

Many on here espouse the evils of government and mega corporations yet then engage in the same behavior. Isn't that interesting? Of course, many do not see it that way but control is control, no matter how you break it down. Sadly, these is supported by many members of the community. It matters none how you dress it up, it is still tyranny.

So do you want freedom or tyranny? Are you thinking with the same small mind you were conditioned to by society? Do you believe that we need to control how others behave and what they do? Are you willing to engage in behaviors I know most would not dare to in person?

Being responsible is not something most accept. The term used in the mainstream is sheep and that is exactly what the majority of people are. They blindly follow what they were conditioned to believe without questioning. Most on here questioned since they tend to fall outside the mainstream yet they still operate in a similar manner.

I will use @ned and Steemit as an example.

That organization, led by him, had the need to control. In my time here, Steemit refused to share any responsibility. It was all in their control. They did not feel the need to listen to anyone, take suggestions, or think of anything but themselves. Steemit was the only thing that mattered.

What did Ned and Steemit's thirst for control do? It sent them into a financial tailspin. Not only did it hold back the development of this ecosystem, it almost destroyed itself. Most organizations are conquered from within.

Of course, during that time, the community sat back like the sheep we are trained to be. Let Steemit and Ned do it, they are in charge. That was the default mindset. Since the infamous announcement in November, the community stepped up. Notice what took place from the developers. We have a couple sources of token creation. There are a number of alliances that are forming to handling issues and represent the needs of the community. Many started working on creating master nodes to decentralize that process.

In short, we are seeing a shift in mindset. The community is taking responsibility for what is ours, at least from the development side.

Part of the tactic of enslaving the world is to keep society at the level of children. Handle all like mommy and daddy would. Do we not even use the term "Big Brother"? This creates a problem when we enter into the world of decentralization.

Steem will not moon if the majority of people are thinking about building a slingshot. And by the way, neither will society.

We represent the future of humanity. How is your thinking in terms of that?

Your message here is so bang on! It's so ingrained to keep ourselves small, and proper. Honestly, i love that even a guy like you has this reality check and now you'll be expanding your realty. Good for you! For rising to the task and being a light and motivator for us all. I hope you'll share the highlights of your journey towards doubling your production. It might give us all clues as to how to expand, rise and become the new leaders this world needs. Thanks for sharing your milestone. Wishing you great success! Steem on friend. Let us all rise-up🌷❤🌷

My dear friend @taskmaster4450. Thank you for being a wonderful leader through your example on this blockchain. May your spirit set the stage for amazing transformations in peoples lives as they learn how to govern themselves rather than surrendering to centralized authority. I can tell you read my post last night as our message is very similar. Thank you for that support, encouragement and solidarity. It means a lot to me. Peace to you brother.

Be a Million a day producer for the steem network too!!! 😊

Thanks for your article.

First of all, I want to wish you well under the umbrella of the new leadership at the company you work for.

Second, I agree with you regarding Steem. I was very hesitant to buy Steem a year ago but suddenly, I started seeing new Apps and Website Frontends for Steem, focusing on Music, Arts, Video, you name it. Now the variety is even larger, much larger. DPoll is one of the best things to happen since I'm here.

After I started seeing new DApps popping up like mushrooms and the price of Steem under 0.50$ I started buying... and buying... and buying some more.

I am confident the community as a whole has what it takes to take Steem to a new level, without the need for SteemIt Inc to do anything.

I am no longer buying since I've reach my goals, for now. But I am happy to see things moving so quickly! eSteem and Busy are my favourite interfaces. SteemIt.com is something I no longer use.

Thanks, again.

Steempeak is an interface to watch. I use that and Busy for the most part.

And good thing you didnt buy a year ago...waiting worked out in your favor.

I bought but just a tiny bit, 5 or 10 Steem. Nothing compared to my 400 STEEM buys just a couple of months ago! 😅

Thank you so much for participating in the Partiko Delegation Plan Round 1! We really appreciate your support! As part of the delegation benefits, we just gave you a 3.00% upvote! Together, let’s change the world!

@taskmaster4450 Remember One Thing. YOU can be a Million Dollar Producer for YOURSELF, YOU don't have to Make Others RICH.............

Adapting to changes is imperative to succeed in building any successful venture and that requires mindsets to often shift from time to time given the ”lense” needed to view the path.

I can tell 2019 is going to be a good year.
I feel the shift.
