@dlike Moving Up As An Application
Over the next few posts I am going to concentrate a bit more on the applications on here. We recently got some updated numbers about them and they are looking good. I will have an overall article about this tomorrow morning.
@dlike is one of the applications I am watching. In fact, I "dlike" what I see to the point I gave a starter delegation of SP earlier today. This is an application that could really make some huge strides for the STEEM blockchain.
Looking at their situation, it is one where there is not a lot of delegation. I suggest everyone who can send over some SP as delegation. I believe we are going to see this DApp have major impact.
One thing I just realized, even after I delegated, was that they are offering a 1 for 1 with each SP delegated up to 100K per day. Hence, 100 SP will net 200 dlike per day. This is not a bad deal. As most of you know by now, I think applications are a great way for people with smaller accounts to grow their holdings.
So what is so appealing about @dlike?
This is one of those applications that is shifting the STEEM blockchain away from being primarily about blogging. @dlike is basically an interest platform. People simply post links or pictures of things that interest them. This application models the highly successful Pinterest site. Doing a bit of research, while not as big as Facebook or Twitter, Pinterest is one of the main social media sites with a value in the billions of dollars.
@dlike now ranks at the #17 most used app on the STEEM blockchain based upon the numbers for the last two weeks. @fknmayhem noted in a post that this is a 30% increase over what the site was doing before. This was attributed to the news about their airdop of tokens on Steemians.
I think a part of it could be the MinnowUprising that is taking place now. This is an ideal application for those who are partaking in this initiative. Many cite the fact that it is difficult to post 3 or 4 times a day due to time or a lack of quality content. @dlike is the ideal solution.
Personally, I feel that all involved in the MinnowUprising should post to the limit that @dlike set of 5 per day. This is especially true for those who do not have a following that caused a lot of people to autoupvote the posts. This could cause some havoc with one's followers if it is the case. However, for those not in that position or where the followers capped the number of posts upvoted automatically, this could be an ideal approach.
@dlike goes through and upvotes content that is posted on the platform. This will allow for smaller accounts to get some payout from an account that is now Dolphin status. It is also another reason why people should try to delegate to @dlike. They are upvoting smaller accounts which helps to spread the reward pool out even further, something that many of us agree is a good thing.
Once we see the ability to on-board users via the application, @dlike could be one of those that garners a lot of attention. Getting paid for one's interests has a nice ring to it. The advantage to this application is that it is easy to use. There is almost no learning curve associated with it. That was a major problem for STEEM when Steemit was the main app that people were using. Newer people were overwhelmed since the site is not very user friendly.
@dlike is also working on a mobile application that will further expand the reach. I love this idea since we know many in the poorer countries of the world are starting to access the Internet via mobile. This opens up a huge market.
My view is that we do not know which applications are going to take off. For that reason, supporting as many of them as possible is a wise approach. @dlike is one that I give a decent chance of growing a great deal since it is quick, simple, and caters to the online world that lacks the ability to stay focused. It is also one of the applications that should appeal to the masses since it caters to people's likes.

There is definitely growth for the platform and as per our commitment we are dedicated to #upriseminnows and just like you said dlike.io is best platform where minnows can post 4 to 5 posts per day and yes we make sure all posts and comments are reviewed by mods before they get upvotes to ensure quality of content on the platform.
This upvoting to smaller accounts is ensuring reward pool distrubition in its best sense and that is why delegators should delegate their SP to dlike and help us to prevail pure sense of minnow uprising.

I am glad. A couple minnows and one plankton I know are using it daily. They really like the results.
It is a nice application and I am looking forward to seeing what the development team comes up with next. They appear to be a sharp bunch.

first time i hear of Dlike! im always suprised how many entrepreneurs are already operating on the steem blockchain!
I queried the 2:1 tokens as this only appeared in one post. I was told in Discord by @dlike that this was an error and the correct rewards were 1:1.

Great review this. DLike is an app the Steem blockchain needed. To share what you like. Sometimes, there's a debate why we copy&paste articles/pics/videos/news/whatever from other sources. Hey, I just like to share some (from my point of view) interesting links. I'm just increasing the reach for author's content. That's why curators exist.
It's similar to steemhunt app (but they're too strict for my taste...) where hunters recommending some new gadgets, software, etc.
But this app is wider, you can recommend whatever you want, within normal limits, of course.
Excellent article. I, also, believe that the length is what Steem needs. It's because of this that I actively subscribe to it.
