Dtube Alexa Ranking. We need more traffic
For curiosity I have decided to check how @dtube is doing on Alexa.
And for my surprise our community is not doing great.
And I feel that we could be doing way better. As You can see even if now You have that graphic line going up if we compare it with the numbers 1 Year ago it is pitiful and sad to see that We have lost so much traffic.
It is our responsability to change this and bring more traffic to the platform. We all are the faces of Dtube and we are the ones in charge of making the platform a Popular place.
How can we make it happen?
A lot of us (including myself) tend to forget to share the direct links to Dtube.
This needs to change.
I want personally to dare every single one of You to share Your direct link to Dtube instead of sharing steemit, Partiko, busy links when sharing Your videos in other social networks.
Only this way we will get the clicks on Dtube. Increasing this way the traffic and the popularity of our platform.
It is your responsability to alert other Dtube users to do the same. Because this post won't reach everyone. If together we spread the word and do this effort we can make a huge difference.

well we have few problems with dtube. first is that playback of the videos sometimes reminds me of my dial up internet (not a happy memory i must say), then deleted videos, then lack of any interaction on the videos, and not really sure who gets exposure from dtube.
And the drop from first part of 2018 is just that price drop made a lot of people stop using steem. no people no views.
You are not wrong. But if we don't keep push it and show people that it is a platform that is worth to put some work in it people won't have confidence.

Nice...despite not positive results, I liked the idea for the "research"..definitely worse than I'd expect...I'm wondering how the average spent time is calculated...like..per visit? or is it per IP address per day?
Cuz if it's per visit, it actually means people watch whole videos...what would be amazing...if it's per IP per day than it's pretty bad..cuz if you count that people spend couple of minutes uploading the video, it actually shows that they only upload the video and bounce...without watching any other content...
youtube has 8 minutes...so we're not thaaat bad:
Yeah it was just a quick look into it. I got so upset because the community have way more potential and we could be in a way better position.
Also if we want to be a place that People will take in consideration we need to change this or People won't look to the platform with respect and as a serious place.
Let's get this job done and change this numbers and this results.

I wouldn’t really focus on any Ranking because Dtube is still a startup
But if we look in comparison with last year We had a huge drop and that is not good in any way.
And I think that having more traffic it is never a bad thing specially if we want more people to discover and use the platform on daily basis. Right?
