@goldmanmorgan : !seen and inactivitysteemCreated with Sketch.

in #busy6 years ago

This is part of the @goldmanmorgan manual, this will be linked in the daily posts on @goldmanmorgan.

What IS @goldmanmorgan? (well i'll explain A LITTLE at the bottom of this post on that), as the intro quote by jack vance says :

The less a writer discusses his work—and himself—the better. The master chef slaughters no chickens in the dining room; the doctor writes prescriptions in Latin; the magician hides his hinges, mirrors, and trapdoors with the utmost care.(Jack Vance)

these howto's are by no means meant to lay bare the bones of the program, nor how it all works in any way but as morgan uses certain specific replies as commands/requests i will do a few howto's on those. I'm not mister promotion so my months (yes MONTHS) of work will be there for who uses it and finds it useful and/or fun and not for everyone who thinks its not for them.

!seen

if you check the daily report posts on @goldmanmorgan you see a whole list of numbers with a long list of names, that's the current coin those "local" accounts have credited.
Because of the way steemit works the only way to be certain of a value is after a post has been paid out, so :

if you cast a vote today , then it will not show until the post you voted on has been paid out, which is seven days later, technically all values are last weeks, but this allows it to be 100% accurate using zero estimation all across the board, its only the only way i can do this and make guarantees. So to open an account you would , in a manner say, you need a seven day waiting period.

now what is the !seen column ? as the maximum post-size of #steemit is only 64kb (the maximum size for a reply is only 16kb btw) there arelimits to the system. (not just resource credits)
At the moment of writing 117 client accounts are being tracked, which makes for quite a list but the program has been written to handle 10 accounts just as well as 10000, as im not much of a promoter i doubt it will reach that, unless the plankton suddenly sees a way in it to save up their votes and withdraw it as steem once a certain treshold (which is fine with me, use it however you want, but if you want to play @tyrnannoght, you'll need coin and you can NOT quickstart by sending steem, i have to stress that ... you won't need massive coin to do the first bits ofcourse)

This is getting way too elaborate BUT i'll write a concatenated version later.

the actual explanation

!seen counts the number of days since the last vote an account has made. After 60 days of inactivity an account is automatically closed.
What does this mean ?
Normally , all data from the very beginning of day one is kept, and all fees transfers withdrawal and about EVERYTHING is calculated daily starting from the original votevalues (when i say simulated smart token ... heh)
This for the good reasons that (its not very hard on linux once you have the scripts ready lol which meanths months for an amateur like me) that corruption isnt possible, if anywhere the program would bug out and a transfer or withdrawal is registered incorrectly, then the original data and all the other transactions are STILL there so that can be undone.
However, now, if , for more than 59 days an account has not voted, the account will be closed . This to prevent clutter, and also to prevent people from trying to find out if they can get rich on the dividends, bonuses and intrests by casting a 1% vote and waiting for a year

i can answer that right now :

NO YOU CANT

, that bit is purely playcoin, its not an investment bank, althoug you CAN treat it like a savings bank but the bonuses are playcoin, this means in literal terms it would grow you a very long bear waiting for that to reach over 0.000 level in terms of steem (i'm not really as much of an idiot as i look like)
mostly to prevent clutter though.

So what happens when it reaches 60 ? i get the message, then i say yes lol, it removes ALL data relevant to the voting account from ALL files as if it never existed, i take md5sum hashes on the altered files (i keep those as i dont have my own mini blockchain here), anything from 1 P(latinum) and up is turned over back to the voting account , anything below that goes "to the vault" (not much loss there mind you)

Warnings are posted in the form of notifications (i dont send sbd out in spammages as that would cost me money and the intent of ALL my accounts is first of all that they do NOT lose money, even if no one votes on it ... this is not just a hobby for me after all), it makes a mention as notification starting at 40 days of !seen. It will do that for 20 days if no new votes are received.

Now the way the system works : if you get a mention at 40 days like @ yourname WARNING (thats what it says in the post, please see that for yourself) " blablabla 60 days and all that " and you cast a vote on the most recent post the day after you see that or the moment, then it will keep saying that for seven days.
IF, however, you cast a vote on the oldest posts that has not been paid out yet (that should be the one that says "6days ago" in the feed, the warning will disappear the next day. If you don't cast new votes the account will close, anything from 1P and up will be returned and you will never have existed in the city of night.
IF you cast a vote on the most recent post on day 54 then by the time that gets credited the account will have been closed, VC and !SEEN will be zero as the day after the account is closed a "new account" will open. So do keep that in mind if you intend to play.

I think that should explain it.

Please don't stare at the "special" section. Those are people who have been early supporting and constant voting AND i can talk to in private (meaning not on the steemforum), they're basically shareholders. As that is manual i dont have time (and atm not the resources) to do more . If i feel i can , don't call us, i will contact you and ask you about it. Meaning i will need the option to talk in private.
Nothing louche about it, those people have or will have parts of their accounts "locked in" meaning they can't just withdraw it, but that's out of the scope of this how-to.

IF you want more explanation on ANYTHING the easiest way is :

  • have an active account
  • type one word "help" as a reply in the MOST RECENT POST (it has a strict daily cycle, its steemit after all, not real time and i dont have a node either) , it will notify me when the next post is rendered and i WILL get back to you. Only active accounts requests are registered, anyone can type anything, if you dont have an active account it will simply not parse that. I do not check the comments section , that's why i put in the "help" option (no exclamation marks, just one word), it works, it has been tested but the available requests and commands will be for a different how-to.

i will also make a new one from this which is a bit shorter to link to in the daily reports

@goldmanmorgan is the vaultkeeper of @tyrnannoght, a game i will be working on probably starting next month and might see some usability. You can accumulate playcoin for @tyrnannoght (the city of night) by voting on @goldmanmorgan. Any vote at any weight, even a 1% vote from a plankton account will be credited 25 digits deep, although the coin only has nine. There are several side-effects to , what is in fact, just a "sub-routine" to the whole program, but it's standalone and works perfectly by itself.
One of the side effects i guess is you could it a simulated smart token that allows trading of steem 23 digits deeper than you can normally do, but that is not the original intention. Another one is you can accumulate votes to a certain value which equals a value in the classic x.xxx format of steem and WITHDRAW that to the voting account. The scope of this post, however, is only to explain !seen and inactivity.
If you want to play later, however, you will need the coins, there will not be an option to rapid-charge accounts by sending sbd or steem. That decision has been made and will be final. VOTES ONLY

The less a writer discusses his work—and himself—the better. The master chef slaughters no chickens in the dining room; the doctor writes prescriptions in Latin; the magician hides his hinges, mirrors, and trapdoors with the utmost care.(Jack Vance)

sincerely,
Goldman Morgan,
the vaultkeeper of Tyrnannoght

enjoy, at your leisure

or don't :) no one's making you, no money will be asked, votes only, what do you have to lose then, eh ?

El Gato

maybe one more thing : the code for morgan and tyr will not be disclosed, at least not until i feel it has made me enough (IF that ever happens), i have already had an intrusion so i'm working on it on a pc that never goes oline, it wastes time, but its the only way i feel safe about it.

HOWEVER, another idea is brooding for something else i will do inbetweenies (i am not very structured, despite that i can manage at least this 1500+ lines of code subroutine @goldmanmorgan by myself) and that something i WILL put up in public

for FREE

ONCE ITS FINISHED, not without self-intrest ... but that's how the world works, symbiosis

i'm not mother Theresa, there will be a license to it but it will be free for commercial whatever and whatever use. It's my way of programming so you can either use it when its there or not. I have no use for people explaining me "how its done" , when its done it will work

don't wait up for it, i'm smart enough to understand :

people who dont keep an agenda are never late
