mwelll ... i found some time in between the dishes and my first mug of coffee to dust off some things , clearly not bugchecked at production level when i lost my total sense of everything december, so i think that's about where the main map editing and lua stopped.

I got busy on gameguru last year but i crashed out around december, mentally, and i really havent done much since, steemit seems to have revived some interest in a little scripting but at a snailpace and i only function well at night ...
I remember trying some of this when i just got on and i got WRECKED by nazicleaners and their team of enlightened content fascists with no own talent because it was "not steemit" content , so let's try again, its time-saving week i want my distroscipts to be ready so i can get back to the fun-stuff

see there, the pickup scripts arent in the objects or not working, the mapmode does change but the lighting stick to the previous one, and the sky is always nightsky ... all bits and bugs that never got ironed out, so off the top of my hat here

off the top of that cap , ... i see some errors on lighting which is pretty weird but that might be since its patch 1.14 and the code for mainmap wasnt adapted since i was busy on that house for the minimap. Apparently there hasnt been any patch , official or unoffical since yet so let's assume its either dead or in the closet , dam you GC ... :p wanna move on to easy rpgmaker huh (i'll post those later)
i havent seen lua since december but i still can see what makes a remark so the commands that don't react well i can mark out there in the scripts (yes, dear, SCRIPTS, its SCRIPTCAT, so far i havent found use for python yet btw, i still dont get what makes it SO attractive other than the fact "everyone does it" ...) but i see blender uses it in someway so maybe i can script animated clips to sync to sound at a certain bpm , that would a nice experiment :)

well a lot of it is misplaced which makes sense for something you put back in folders you dont remember from some sd-card you forgot you had but the main stuff all works ofcourse, the engine at its core handles all the rendering and lighting and characters.

basically you could just brush up a map, drop some prefab objects on it and some npcs , press play and start playing, (as in shooting stuff) but if you want anything more you need lua

lua isnt very hard, as it is scripting, not compiled (i hear python is both scripted and compiled somehow, is that it ? the illusion of quantum programming, lol ? i do think people who need performance would go for C / ++ btw , well they would for assembly but is there anyone in the world left who knows how that goes ?)

as for lua, so its not very hard, and here especially you can easily transfer scripts as they're all object based so the [e] in script always relates to the relevant object (the one that "holds" the script)

(no, poincgames is clearly not microsoft free but i think thats the only thing windows is useful for : directx, otherwise its a total waste to install on a production-pc)
