Richard Heart made a similar comment on Bitcoin losing its appeal once fiat pairs are introduced. I watched it on a recent "Ivan on Tech" episode.
Quite an unpopular belief though. However, I agree with the philosophy that Bitcoin needs to evolve or become extinct.
