What is success?

So yesterday in our Whatsapp group, I asked this question and here are some feedback I got.

Success is happiness. Once you are happy, then you are successful.

Everyone has their definition...what you would term achievement may not be valued by another person. So if you know what you truly want to achieve then you achieve it, I would say you are successful

Success is a plus on daily basis.

Success is influencing the world around you with the investment of your personality. It is making the world around you better than you met it.

I really wanted to get a boyfriend in my estate, then one good looking and rich guy came forth. I feel so successful.

Success is looking out for a human need and meeting it. It is using the investment of personality to reach out to your world.

It is personal peace of mind. It is the state of feeling fulfilled.

Success is discovering your life's purpose and the fulfillment of it.

My answer

Personally, I believe success has a lot to do with happiness. Yet, they say happiness is a choice. In other words, you can choose to be happy if you want... I see this as partial truth. Some circumstances can never allow you to be truly happy.

Success is relative. This is exactly why you can not classify anyone's success except yours. For someone like me, my happiness is more treasured than a lot of things. Funny enough, the things that keep me happy are things other people may never like.

Conclusion

I see myself as successful whenever I can comfortably do what I love and what makes me happy.
