Hello awesome people. I was going through my feeds on Facebook yesterday when I saw a post asking people to bless other people. When I read through the comments, I was very happy. A lot of people were being generous. They were sharing money and other things. But something not so good happened....

When anyone writes a comment saying he will give out money to some needy people there, he gets lots of likes and replies. In the reply, I saw a lot of people begging for money just for survival.... I was moved with compassion

I quickly went and created a Whatsapp group with the intention of teaching people some of the online things I do to help myself financially. Then I went back to the post and shared the link with this text attached to it.

Don't beg for fish. Learn how to fish. I'll teach you how to make at least $5 per day. This is not a get rich quick scheme. Don't expect becoming a millionaire immediately. It is not network marketing biz either. Just be able to read and write. Have a good smart phone.

Join if you are interested. Lecture will hold by 8pm today.

Guess what? Only a few responded. I got only five likes and one reply for that comment. But they were all jumping around the comments of those giving out $20-$30 and it likes. What does it imply?

They want the fish but do not want to fish.

How can someone be comfortable with depending on what someone else gives him?

How miserable it is to get your means of livelihood from another person.

How long do you think someone can continue giving you the fish?

And do you think you can get the best out of life when you're dependent on another person?

Instead of beg for money, why not beg for employment?

None of them was smart enough to ask the people giving out money to help them get a job, teach them a trade or connect them to where they can make money by themselves.

Sad indeed!

Conclusion

Anytime you get the opportunity to meet the people who have gone ahead of you in life, stop asking for the fish.. Go for the source.

Even in your place of work, stop working for salary or financial rewards alone. Go for the source. Stop looking for a means of survival alone. Connect to the source.

You just raised up a big topic @ogoowinner,
It's very correct to always go for the source of everything we desire rather than it's product, as this will ensure our sincere independence. You can't blame those guys however. They've been in some system for so long that they've lost alot of virtue required for success. Some of them have been in unprofitable business which at the begining looked juicy. Some have been scammed- especially online. Technology is also to be blamed in some way.

We are been groomed in a society where almost everything is instantanous. You want to shop, why go spend hours when you can get it shipped all the way from aliexpress or jumia to your door. No more going round the libary looking for the last surving book that speaks on some extint animal- google is there. Dating apps and social network has made socializing more easier. You don't need birds to fly your letter, just go online and you are speaking with someone in another time zone. With all these, what do we expect from our youths?. These people take this mentality into business too. When you said "This is not a get rich quick scheme. Don't expect becoming a millionaire immediately. ", you killed their vibes. (I wonder how next year's election will be like, a lot of votes are already paid for).

I guess the best thing is to keep try to reorient them that the old adage- "learn to fish rather than receiving a fish" is still functional and true!

It is not good to beg for money because people will avoid you which is hurtful because it happened to me @ogoowinner and it is just very good that there is steem to help us take ourselves from poverty.

You've been inspiring me since I got here, what an emotional piece here, I believe you've shown them the way, it's left for them to utilize it. God bless you @ogoowinner

Yeah, people want the fish sticks.

They just want the steak. They don't want to learn how to hunt, fish, how to make money, how to diversify investment, networking, careers, skills, relationships.

Been There Before.

I've tried teaching people things on Facebook, as well, the past few years. So, I kind of know what it's like. So, it can be discouraging when we try to help people. So, we kind of have to pray for patience, wisdom, in when to help and in when not to help. How we go about introducing souls to the need for help can help people transition to doing things differently in their lives.

But it generally emerges slowly, gradually.

So, we can ask people questions, get some of them interested. We can try to be creative in red pilling. Ultimately, it is up to them, whether they want to learn how to fish. So, that means we should be patient and limited at times. We should be wise with our time, resources, money, and everything.

realy good ... thank you

Very sad indeed. You talked of getting a job. There are others who prefer to stand around instead of working, so a lady I once offered to help get a job told me. Hard work is no longer any thing. They want "quick fixed things".

Quite sad, this even gets worse on Instagram. Sometimes, it's also difficult to differentiate the people who are truly in need of help from the pretenders. What they need to understand clearly as well is that there's dignity in labour. Well done on this one
