Austin Move Update....
We made it to Austin TX!
We decided to do the trip in 3 days, because why rush to get here only to sleep on an air mattress? As it turned out, there was a snafu with the moving company scheduling and we wont get our stuff until the day after memorial day. I'm OK with it I guess because we'll get $300 out of the deal because it's gonna be 3 days late. I've done far shade-y-er shit for less than $300 so I'm cool (hmmm....maybe a Steemit post idea for later).
The flight plan for the 1st leg
of the trip took us from Mpls. to Kansas City, Mo. per the map presented below.
My one thought during this whole leg was how long it took to drive through Iowa- I'm just glad I didn't have to sit through snow covered fields the whole time.
The 2nd leg of the trip
took us right outside Dallas (Denton, TX) which ended up being one long-assed drive
Everyone was in good spirits, pets included. Even your's truly managed to keep it together! Also, in case you didn't know, La Quinta Inns are pet friendly!!
The 3rd leg of the trip
took us right to Austin.
This one felt easy, it seemed like we made it in no time!
We also got the high speed internet hooked up, yay!
More later as we integrate into life here in Austin. I also start my new job on Tuesday :)
What shadey shit can one get up to for less than 300???

You made it!! And tomorrow is your first day, how exciting! Did you have a kickass memorial day? You drove through my town (Denton) on your way through, maybe we passed on the roadway and didn't even realize it :D
