Belgian are famous for their fries but somehow people seem to say French fries more than Belgian fries. Did they hijack it from you guys 🤔
One legend goes that some American soldiers got to know the fries in the war from the French speaking Belgians, so they started to call them French fries. :) But I’ve no idea where the fries were first made.
