Hello people!
Welcome to another exciting edition of whatever you may want to name this sort of thing. I believe that we are what we eat. And our health status is greatly influenced by what happens between the tongue and the stomach.
Thanks to @mutitum and @air-clinic, I've gat another opportunity to be a chef and a teacher in one large kitchen.

It is expedient to first learn about your body and what is most essential for your body at any given time. Don't just pump in calories or any other stuff into your system simply because your eyes desire it.

I'm a Nigerian based in Akwa Ibom state. Therefore, I'm obliged to teach you the simple steps in preparing this indigenous delicacy known as

Atama Etike

Before we start, I'd love to tell you a little about Atama Etike.

Atama Etike is enriched with vitamin A, proteins and other mineral nutrients.

Ingredients
• Atama [can not figure out the English name for it]
• Etike [Okro]
• Palm oil
• Periwinkles
• Fresh Pepper
• Crayfish
• Goat meat
• Stockfish
• Dry fish
• Kpomo [cow hide]
• Salt
Ready for an amazing trip down Food Town? Alright then! Get all utensils and pots ready by washing them properly. Let's get down to business.
*Wash, season and cook your periwinkles.

  • Wash and season all the sources of protein among your ingredients such as the meats and fish except the dry fish. Boil them for 5 to 10mins.
    *Wash and cut your okro, set aside.
    *Slice your Atama leaves and also set it aside.
    *Add your dried fish to the seasoned proteins and put on the fire. Allow it to cook for 5mins.
    *At the right time, add your already sliced Okro and also pour in a little palm oil.
  • I think it's finally time to add your atama and allow it to cook for 10-15mins. Stir properly and prepare for the best.
    Hey! Don't let your food get burnt while cooking. It's time to turn off the flame. Your Atama Etike is ready.

Method of Serving

  • Serve with "fufu" or "eba"*
  • It can also be eaten with boiled yam
