Sweeten The Hills Of Lisbon With the Gloria Funicular

We've been in Lisbon now for 1 1/2 month and even though we were here during the Holidays, we still lost weight. Thanks to the hills.

We've already talked about the Lavra Funicular and we're going to write about the famous Bica one soon but now Gloria get's all the attention, the second funicular we got to ride in Lisbon. It's running since 1885 and climbs not the steepest hill in town but if there's a funicular we have to ride it and up there awaits you a beautiful viewpoint and park.

Here is an insider tip, when you arrive in Lisbon get a Viva Viagem transport card and put some money on it, because if you buy a ticket right at the funicular it's much more expensive because they force you to buy a RT Ticket.

The funicular ends at the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, which is a beautiful viewpoint, it holds a small little park and a kiosk for a drink and small snacks while you soak in the panorama.
