Whale Tip! Vote for Pre-Curated STEEM Posts

Easy places to find good minnow posts to curate fitinfun (1).jpg

Curation is a hard job, made harder if you have to give out many votes a day. Luckily for STEEMers trying to spread their votes, we have a lot of places you can find undervalued posts of good quality. Here are four places that might work for you in your efforts to help smaller blogs succeed.

If you are the type of person who wants to manually vote, these are easy places to look for high-quality posts already picked for you. You can click out from the curation post, read, vote, and comment fast.

If instead you are trying to spread your vote widely without a lot of daily effort, three of these programs also have trails. Your 5 cent trail vote will be hugely motivating to the people who are chosen. Anything bigger will be a miracle for most.

@trufflepig Daily Posts

@trufflepig finds 25 undervalued posts daily by an AI algorithm. The algorithm mechanism is described in this older post past payout.

https://steempeak.com/steemit/@trufflepig/weekly-truffle-updates-2019-38

Some of the things checked are spelling, keywords, and topics that STEEM already rewards on bigger posts.

The top ten posts are shown in detail and the next 15 are listed in the first comment of each daily post.

This effort by @smcaterpillar has been going on for over a year. He’s not blogging now on his own account and only does these curation posts and another post each day to show you what our trending page would look like without bid-bot rewards.

I see some of the posts getting votes now from bigger blogs, but the last few are under $1 payout. I hope some bigger blogs will support this effort long-term. AI is hot! And we have it on STEEM! What a great place to throw your vote.

@trufflepig votes on each post as it is chosen and has a trail that is now growing as bigger more STEEMers join in to support the effort.

@qurator

@qurator is over two years old. You have to qualify to be a part of it. This is a place with one of the largest groups of daily bloggers we have. Qurator votes on your first post of the day if you are a member. There is a trail for this effort that will spread your vote widely if you get on it.

If you prefer to see the posts you vote for, @qurator also has daily posts and author spotlight posts which feature manually curated posts from STEEMers out of the mix they have at the time.

  • The Shining Qurite post features an older STEEMer and links to some recent posts.
  • The Shooting Star features one of the newer recruits and links to some of their posts.
  • The Daily Qurator features a few posts of high quality from various members and gives links to those posts. This is also the place to find @qurator news.

Qurator also runs three contests each week. The posts added to those contests are those qurites are proud of.

@c-cubed daily posts

The @c-cubed effort manually curates top undervalued posts of the day. They have a place on discord where people like me drop links when we see good posts with poor payouts. Then the c-cubed admins check the post, and if they agree, they vote for it, and put it into the program.

They have three trails:

  • The @c-squared trail votes on all posts curated by the program. This is where it starts. This blog can give out 50-100 votes per day, and all posts are resteemed there, so you can look through those.
  • The @c-cubed trail votes on 10 posts a day out of what is already in the c-squared pool. These are the best of the best. Getting onthis trail ensures you are voting for quality.
  • @c-squared-photo votes on photo posts exclusively.

@pifc weekly Pay it Forward contests

At @pifc, people nominate 2 posts they find by bloggers 65 rep and lower. The post needs less than a $3 reward at the time of nomination, but most have much less.

There are so many ways you can help here!

  • The @pifc posts for entry and to announce winners can use more votes.
  • The judges and sponsors are all smaller bloggers doing great work.
  • The people nominating have written posts for this contest which could use votes.
  • The people nominated are there because they have low payouts on good posts.

And finally, @pifc is always on the hunt for more prizes or sponsors. Maybe you can help out there.

This program does not have a trail that I know of.

In Conclusion

Thisis one of a series of posts I am doing to try to help curation flow down to the depths of STEEM. My first was about contests and you can find it here:

Whale Tip! How to Curate Contests on STEEM and Help Small Bloggers Grow

The post above was picked up by @pennsif and featured in his daily STEEM News Report. I have seen a lot of good action from this effort, and I am so grateful. I assure you that the little people you are voting for are grateful too.

More to come! I have only scratched the surface of the places I know you will be glad to cast your votes. NewSTEEM is something I believe in despite the bumps in the road we are suffering now. You have great benefit from curation now and we have great posts for you to vote on. Win Win for all of us for a long time to come.

NOTE: My recommendations are for programs I know about and are based on my interests. This is not a complete list by any means. For one example, I do nothing with video due to my poor wifi, and so have no information about programs there.

You are tagged in this post because you are a @curangel curator. I hope you can find good posts in these places.

I upvoted your contribution because to my mind your post is at least 6 SBD worth and should receive 447 votes. It's now up to the lovely Steemit community to make this come true.
