Quick Idea for a Steem Service (#73)

in #busy6 years ago (edited)

Since I am working on different projects and can definitely not get this finished at all, I will just try to simply sketch the idea and put it out here. Please remember: You heard it here first ( If that is even true ).

I know there is a bounty system for Steem. Perhaps more than one.
I should look into this. I am too lazy right now.
As far as I know, there is no bounty system that makes use of the beneficiary function of Steem.

The idea would be to create a platform (or perhaps integrate this into something like busy.org), where you can mark your post as a question and automatically set the bounty-management-account as beneficiary; The moment the post receives a payout (and the agent gets the beneficiary rewards), the account checks all comments to the original post, the original poster's votes on it and calculates whether and how to split up the bounty for the best reply.
The service would then be to redirect the beneficiary_rewards straight from the agent-account to the successful bounty hunters - It would not touch the op's account. ( I know, real smart contracts would be much better, but that's as close as it gets with Steem right now )

Beneficiary rewards are in vests. This would mean that the agent-account needs to constantly power down and also always hold enough liquid funds to pay off the bounty hunters. That would take a little investment. Depending on how big of a cut you take for the service, that could be paid off, though.
Since at the moment the SBD trades way above 1 USD, it would not be the most profitable strategy to get the most out of your question by using such a service - or to put it differently: If you did not use the described service from above, but a 50/50 post instead, you could offer a much higher bounty just from the posting rewards.
At the moment, there probably is no demand for a service like that, just because of the high value of the Steem Dollar. I expect it to some day reach 1 US Dollar. It might take a while, which would give you enough time to set this service up and be ready once it makes more sense to actually use the service.

I went as far as creating a discussion scoring function, which evaluates the discussion under a post and comes up with a score for each author, which it could then base their share of the beneficiary-(bounty)-rewards on.

If you want to discuss this, feel free to contact me in Discord.
Also, feel free to take the idea and use it as you see fit - Please remember me, when it works out.

If this rambling was useless to you, thanks for staying till the end anyways.

Excellent job my friend @felixxx

writing very useful, thanks for sharing @felixxx. 😊

How about that platform receives a huge delegation from STINC and would upvote the best comments according to the beneficiary payout instead of direct payout..
Oh.. Wait..

Your idea is nice, but steem seems to work better with delegations.. And not any initial invest. As weird as this might sound.
But it would need constant monitoring.

Hmm. Why payout?
Another idea would be to give out delegation.
You had 5 good comments? Here have your X SP as delegation from us..

That is a great idea. I must admit that there is a part of me that knows that life after a complete atomization might be very strange to us humans...
