"Defining Factors" - SundayPurple
Silhouettes make for very interesting pictures,
and I especially love them of people.
It's intriguing to see just the outline of someone, with no detail,
no color, no surface texture or definition.
We can only see their shape and their outer edges,
leaving our imaginations to fill in the blanks.
Sometimes the darkness can be disguised as just anybody,
and sometimes the silhouette is true to who they are.
You never know what you're going to get with a silhouette.
But the one thing you can count on,
is that the outcome will be dramatic.
With low lighting on the front of the subject,
the outer edges become the greater focus,
and along with the background,
becomes the defining factor of the photograph.
"DEFINING FACTORS"
Instead of getting caught up in the details and focusing on the little things,
we can appreciate the opportunity to see the bigger picture -
the outline - the shape of things.
We can let go of needing to know the specifics,
and allow the framework to set the tone for
true magnificence to unfold.
May we have faith that not knowing all the answers and
all the hows and whys
will still allow our lives to be rich and joyous,
and in the not knowing be blessed
with more than we could have ever imagined.

FRIDAY - sky blue
SATURDAY - indigo
SUNDAY - purple
