Ah, when I was considering doing the work myself I had to consider that. To just remove the hot-mirror, or to remove and replace. I got pretty lost trying to find "full spectrum" glass for the size of camera sensor I needed. Plus I did not want to get shocked by the flash capacitor. So I ended up sending my camera to LifePixel for modding.
I hear you can use microscope slides as replacement glass, but thats just what ive heard. Ive never tried.

An interesting photo indeed, it seems almost completely bleached of colour - yet it looks great! Well done... Is it a special technique you use?
Thank you! Camera without Hot-Mirror filter. The lens is closed with a light filter that delays the light and passing infrared radiation.
so you removed your hot-mirror but did not leave anything in its absence? Or did you have photographic glass thats clear replace the stock hot-mirror?
