Come on in for your ass chewings

in #busy6 years ago

So as everyone knows by now we are voting on getting steem listed on netcoins. After 6 days and having whales bribe you all with upvotes we just broke 10,000 votes. On a site of 1 million people we only cleared 10,000 votes in 6 days. That speaks volumes about how many actuall users are really here. This is just shameful. I have voted multiple times as per the rules and I assume others have also. So assuming voters have voted 3 times each then we only had barely over 3000 users vote. I don't ever want to hear you all tear @ned a new ass again if you all can't even vote. Get the fuck over there and kick verge's ass.

As the very committed, holder of the very expensive top trending spot with a post about this very topic, I came here to heartily agree with this post.

Yep. It should have been a complete blow out. Instead we are swaping the lead with verge. We should have easily been in the 6 figures if everyone had 6 days to vote.

Strong case-presentation in a few sweet words! And now look what's happening :(

How many witnesses do we have?

Over a hundred witness nodes that are active, but the number of those that are actually doing anything? Questionable. Definitely bank on at least 70 that are involved in some way beyond just running a node.

Thank you. You are probably way more accurate than the official figures. SteemWorld's system info page states there are some 14,797 witnesses, which is enough to beat out the votes shown in this comment thread. I know for a fact there are whales/witnesses that run more than 50 accounts each; shouldn't they vote at least once for each bot they have?

Greetings!

For a more accurate assessment of which witnesses are currently operating, I'd recommend https://steemian.info/witnesses.

I suppose it really all depends on whether they care enough about this, or whether they see this as a useful exercise. Some may. Others, maybe not so much. Additionally, the voting rules are explicit about voting multiple times from different accounts. So even if someone had 50 different Steem accounts, it wouldn't benefit Steem to have them create shell emails and use a VPN just to push more votes. That's what Verge and INS likely did, and I'm sure it's going to come and bite them in the ass.

I personally think this was a bit of market research. They now have the IP address of every visitor, and for those who voted, they now have an email address and a record of what coin they are likely to hold. They didn't even bother with a secure website, http: instead of https:

Some made the claim of Netcoins being active in 53 Countries, but I visited their website and only found locations listed for Canada.

One has to wonder how INS, ranked 265th with a market cap of only $15 million could compete with Steem; it can't.....

What do witnesses have to do with this? Well nothing directly, but a number of them resteemed bloggers pushing for a vote without looking at the facts. Since they can use multiple accounts to resteem the same blogger, they can also vote multiple times if it mattered that much to them.

I have a hunch that this may not be the last thing we hear about the Netcoins vote. Guess I'm ready for that ass chewing now... :)

Well maybe i wanna go to Canada and buy some legsl weed using steem
;)

Maybe I'll join ya. Oh wait, ..I live in the Netherlands and the coffee shop is just around the corner, ...but they take cash only :_(

Great choice of title @doomsdaychassis. I was having a tough time figuring out how a pumper called CAP? Or PAC or something like that was ahead of Steem. Ya, the numbers just aren’t there. So .01 of this platform is actively involved? Am I reading that correctly? 1 million and ten thousand, that’s 1% right?

Chew’em some more doomsday!

Let's just keep pushing and spreading the word in the time we have left, right up to the last minute.

Don't forget, anyone can vote... Your neighbor, your mom, your boss... etc.

😄😇😄

@creatr

Sorry, what's going on??? What's netcoins?

How do I vote?

This is the problem with Steemit... NO e-mails go out when there's a post from someone I follow or something important

http://contest.gonetcoins.com/

This is a contest to get Steem listed on Netcoins exchange.

ourfreesociety if you are still online here is my post about it.

We are trying to get Steem onto GoNetcoins. Wr were leading than Verge passed us. As of now with less than 5 hours to go Steem is back in number #! But still vote so we keep Steem on top.

Ok, I voted, but I guess I won't be able to vote again b/c I'm going to bed & of course it's ending in 3 hours.

Thanks, I hope we WIN!!!!
