I'm A $50 Steem Man

I had an interesting realization the other day when the steem price moved from $.16 to $.18 and then back down to $.16.

That realization was that when the steem proved up or down by a penny my account value moved exactly $50.

I have in my control 5000 steem and obviously when steem price varies by a penny then I either lose or gain $50.

I suppose I needed a moment like that to creep up on me and make me think about things. I have 1500 liquid steem floating around and I've been wondering if I should keep it or trade it out for btc, which I own none.

But now I'm not so sure. Having this round number of steem that moves the needle $50 with each $.01 change has me excited if for only having a visualization of my account in real terms that I can easily understand.

I hadn't noticed this when steem was just sitting at $.16 but that little push to test $.18 had me excited and now I think about how fun it will be to watch the price rise incrementally in the future.
