BraaiBoy Beer - It's Here!
"BraaiBoy Beer" - The first official batch
Earlier this week we bottled the first official batch of "BraaiBoy Beer" ... I'm putting it in inverted commas because that's the working title. I'm going to be running a competition from next week until the 12th May (The date of the next BraaiMasjien party) calling for you to help me choose a name for my beer.
So please keep an eye out for that post! - I'll be giving away free beer, SBD bounty, BraaiBoy Zippos and more!!!

In the meantime though, I could use your help with picking a label.

The South African postal service is notoriously bad... I think we'd have better luck studying the ocean currents and tossing it into the sea :P
I'll look into it though... I'm sure we can make a plan. Especially since I'm only doing 250 bottles with this label, and so I'm sure it's going to be a collector's item worth millions one day :P
P.S. Which reminds me: I somehow accidentally posted before finishing all the picture uploads... so I think you saw the post before the label pics where in it... please let me know what you think of the (potential) labels.

Well... this IS just the label I'll be using for the first batch (while the beer is still unnamed)... are you on discord? Would like to chat and maybe see what you would charge me to consult on a CI going forward. It's my personal brand... so I'm completely open to suggestion and changes.
Like the last label, info with hops etc. should be in black type against the fire. White type a bit flaming lost. Gorgeous golden blend, liquid gold @braaiboy

Currently I'm feeling the 3rd one the most though (but the 1st one is a close 2nd - 'cos it matches my suit :P)
This is awesome. Even though I do not drink, I want to ask about the beer.
Is there a post that explains the thought behind the beer?
Is it made with'n tjop en dop intention?
Also the Black label (no pun intended) looks better.
In my circles, the guys love a braai'ed pizza.. will it perfect with it?
Thanks @fates... this one is a lager... a "fairly light one" (just under 5%) at that, and the goal was for "easy drinking while chilling around a braai" and will go with everything... so yes, it can definitely be enjoyed with pizza.
Going forward, I'll create more "specialised" beers/lagers/ales etc. that are tailor-made for a specific style of meal.
Well I hope you are selling it online or creating a local is lekker competition! Would love to have a collector's item.
I will eventually be selling online, yes... but for now it's just 250 in bottles and the the rest will be kegged.
I am thinking of doing a "Steemit-Only" giveaway though... #WatchThisSpace :P
