Promo-Steem On National Television + Rwanda Considering The adoption Of Cryptocurrencies.

They finally aired the interview! Only the Kinyarwanda version though and only a few seconds worth at that too. Our segment starts from 32:04, where the news anchor UWERA Jean Maurice starts by warning people that they should be cautious when it comes to cryptocurrencies, as they are unregulated and a lot of fraud could happen without the possibility of protection.

But he then goes to say that many people see it as a possible way to get more employement to the youth and hopefully get them some income.

My part of the segment starts at 33:14. I had been asked how much I had made and in what ways it had helped me. I told them I had made around 155$ since I started. That with my earnings from here I was able to invest in some other ventures, _{was thinking of when I partook in @appics's ICO, or when I bought some Dogecoin(2018 is the year of the Dog) amongst other things} and all of that from steemit with 0 fees being charged.
Unfortunately tho that's all they showed from our talk.

As the segment continued they also showed footage from last week's summit , in which Dr Monique NSANZABAGANWA the Deputy Governor of BNR(National Bank of Rwanda) gives her opinions about cryptocurrencies. She says they are interested and inquiring about how these digital currencies could benefit Rwandans.

She then continues by saying that if people want to invest in them, they should research them first and be careful because since they are not regulated, there would be no protection from the government in case of fraud.

After Dr.Monique it was the turn of Charles Hoskinson, CEO of IOHK. Like Dr. Monique he also says since cryptocurrencies are still new and confusing, people should do their research before investing in a coin. He ends his remarks by saying that what should be more focussed on for now is the blockchain and the many benefits it could provide.
