Perhaps it is best to refer to Steemit as a publishing platform; rather than a social media platform. We should be free to post any content that we like - either unique 'quality' posts or reposts of other people's content. If the post is not original, the Steemian should tick a flag to indicate it & provide the reference link. For the repost, they can get a nominal 0.001 Steem from each person who likes the unoriginal post. Original content should attract higher rewards. Cheaters should still be cheetahed.
