I drive Uber and Lyft, and the latter will very likely overcome the other (lest it goes belly up, as its finances don't seem sustainable). Uber is basically still using name recognition, whereas Lyft has incentives for drivers (pickup compensation, the luminous sign) AND riders (regular discounts on rides) to create loyalty
