The diary Game [31-03-2025] : An unforgettable first day of Eid al-Fitr with family: joy, sharing, and tenderness
Hello steemians,
After a month of fasting, meditation and intense spirituality, the long-awaited crescent moon finally appeared on the horizon, announcing with gentleness and fervor the long-awaited arrival of Eid el-Fitr, this blessed day, which symbolizes the end of Ramadan, is each year for us the sacred opportunity to meet as a family, to share sincere moments of love and conviviality, and above all, to see in the eyes of our children the sparkle of pure joy, simple, authentic, the one that only Eid knows how to instill in hearts.

From the first light of the morning, the house awoke in a particular excitement: my two children, already on their feet even before the sun had completely risen, had this mischievous and enthusiastic glint in their eyes, this touching impatience specific to the innocence of childhood, impatience to put on their carefully chosen outfits, freshly ironed the day before, and to prepare for the Eid prayer, my eldest, dressed with remarkable care, sported beige pants and a two-tone jacket, combining elegance and modernity, while his little brother, proud in his khaki hooded tracksuit and blue sneakers, never stopped smiling, his round glasses adding a touch of mischievous intellectual to his natural charm.
Once all prepared, we left the house in a peaceful atmosphere, to join the neighborhood mosque where the songs of the faithful were already resounding, these collective invocations so characteristic of the morning of Eid, which unite hearts beyond differences and bring together souls in the same spiritual fervor, the prayer performed, the hugs followed one after the other, the “Eid Mabrouk” exchanged with overflowing sincerity, and the children, beaming, began to receive their first gifts, these notes carefully slipped into their little pockets, like so many tokens of affection.
Back at home, the captivating smell of Arabic coffee, accompanied by the famous traditional pastries – makroud, samsa, ghribia and other sweet delights – filled the space with nostalgic and reassuring notes, the table, set with care, shone under the gilding of our tea service, and the children, quietly installed in the living room, patiently waited for the start of the family festivities, the reunion took place. are linked throughout the morning, each arrival accompanied by laughter, loud voices, memories exchanged and immortalized photos.

The youngest quickly took over the living room, transforming it into a playground, poses, and improvised selfies. My youngest, armed with his little phone, improvised as an official photographer, capturing with almost professional seriousness the complicit smiles of his cousins, the tender gestures of his aunts, and the kind looks of his uncles. He even allowed himself a few humorous poses, his thumb raised proudly as if to say to the whole world: “Happy Eid, everything is fine! »
The afternoon continued in an atmosphere as warm as ever. The children, mounted on their little electric motorcycles decorated for the occasion, paraded across the terrace like budding pilots. While the adults took the time to chat, reminisce about childhood memories, share future projects, or simply savor the moment. My father and brother, sitting side by side on the sofa, offered the reassuring image of a wise and calm generation, witnesses to a family heritage that we strive to pass on with love and respect.

This first day of Eid will remain engraved in my memory not so much for the delicious food or for the elegant clothes although all this contributed to the beauty of the moment but above all for the human warmth that emanated from it, for the knowing glances exchanged, for the spontaneous hugs, for the shared bursts of laughter, and for this deep feeling of being surrounded by those who really matter, in a world that sometimes moves too fast.
Through the eyes of my children I rediscovered the magic of Eid, this suspended moment when time seems to pause where we remember that family ties are the most precious treasures, and that their maintenance with tenderness and listening, is worth all the material wealth in the world.
And as night fell gently, enveloping the house in a beneficial tranquility, I found myself hoping that each Eid to come would be as full of love as this one, as rich in smiles, and above all, always shared with those who make my heart beat faster: my children, my family, my tribe.
Best Regards,
