Burning Man diaries - "Damn the Blinkies, full steam ahead!" (Neverwas Haul art car)
This is one of the very first shot I did the first year I went to Burning Man. Honestly when I arrived there I stayed at least for 48h, asking myself every 5 minutes : "Where the hell am I..."
It was like in a dream, I was just riding my bike with 2 cameras around me, shooting something every two minutes, eating dust, almost falling because I was framing while riding my bike...
And suddenly from a dust cloud I saw appearing this magnificient vehicle in between steam punk style and victorian era. I went off my bike, and this lady with her umbrella was walking normally, but suddenly, she turned back to admire the amazing Neverwas Haul, and.. I clicked.
Again this picture, remains one of my favorites shot ever.
The Locomotive is made from 75% recycled equipment and materials, returns with new interiors, engine, and collections from its travels around the world...

Strange but oh, so good! :) Like a magical flying machine or something... Love the mood of the shots! The air of Where the hell am I... carries over so well in these shots. Feels like one of those odd foreign movies that you don't really understand but you can't help but watch on... Or a Cirque du Soleil act.
the good thing is when inside this strange world you have no other choice to be part of it and participate in this creative energy tornado !
