There is a type of bumblebee that opens the base of the flower to take the nectar out while avoiding pollen transfer.
Many species of bumblebees also exhibit "nectar robbing": instead of inserting the mouthparts into the flower in the normal way, these bees bite directly through the base of the corolla to extract nectar, avoiding pollen transfer.

Yeah. Well, I had to look this up on Wikipedia myself but I remember something I heard about 40 years ago that triggered my inquiry: A bumblebee can fly 7 million miles at 3 million miles an hour on one gallon of nectar.
Well we know that bumblebees have been clocked at about 57 miles an hour so at that speed they could fly farther. Haha!
