How sad - and frightening - that this is so true. Not to take away from your story, but bullying happens to seniors as well. I lived with it for over a year, and moving this July was in large part to get away from my downstairs neighbour - a woman who bullied me mercilessly. Those who are most vulnerable and least equipped to deal with bullies are seniors, the disabled and the young. It's so very heartbreaking to hear of so many young people who are bullied without hope of a champion to prevent their light from being snuffed out at such a young age. We as communities need to be aware, to stand up for and with victims of bullying - and the consequences to the perpetrators of bullying need to be severe.
