Well I used them before, like a month ago and then stopped because I felt they weren't profitable anymore. The amount of people who bid now are much, while some don't know how to wait for the next bid if a bid bot is probably already up to its maximum bid value based on amount of bids made already. The more people bid, the more the value of your bid reduces. Let me not even get started with the big buck authors who don't care about making gain on the bid bots, they just want to get their posts in the trending section. This affects other small authors who were unfortunate to have made a bid at the time.
So in conclusion to your question, there are different answers depending on who is asking and what you want to use them for. @dee-y over and out.
i think timing plays a big role as well, i might be wrong but it looks like most bots are profitable. But when the price of STEEM/SBD fluctuates your rewards will fluctuates to.

I doubt that, they calculate that in your paid vote. So they just vote with a higher percentage. Which they let then rest for a while, at least @randowhale. @booster only votes each 2,5 hour or so, probably for the same reason.
I have used some upvote bots as a way to promote #cryptopub to attract more patrons and build a community there. They have not really been profitable but I look at it in the manor of traditional business advertising and as a way to dump the STEEM I earn as a minnow back into the STEEM ecosystem.
I could use your guidance on whether my belief that sacrificing the pennies now so that they become dollars later is a good investment?
The ones I like are Jerry Banfield (though he is a little bit of a character) and sneaky-ninja but am just starting to discover the best ones so looking forward to the content in the comment sections (the ones that actually answer your questions and are not flattery looking for upvotes;)
@riskdebonair.......i will go for upvote,,,,,,,,,,,,i think,,, this is more profitable......for our steem friends.....because upvote means assent for our post or article,,,,,,,,,that help us to provide our work.....that's all......it is only my opinion.....
I use upvote bots not really for profit but a way of promoting my posts, so as to get more visibility. I don't agree with people who see them as bad, every platform has a means of promotion.
Honestly speaking.....I wouldn't use it before but nowadays using because of increase voting power....though it's not profitable but very few one help to grow up except you! capitalists become more by their capital......so what should I do.....pls suggest or advise!
