This here's a classic: Naked Lunch, by William S. Burroughs. Often considered his magnum opus, Naked Lunch broke important new ground in the development of experimental prose fiction, comprised of a heavily non-linear plot detailing controversial subject matter. Often included in the Beat phenomenon, his contribution was much larger. One of the indisputable classics of American postwar literature. This is the first US Edition, first printing (which was brought to trial over obscenity charges and, fortunately, won):
