๐โ ๐ Template suggestion for the new Steemit Bookclub!
Please find below my template suggestion for the Steemit Bookclub I suggested in that post earlier in the week.
Please,@sroka87,@taliakerch,@singa,@hanen, and @marinauzelac , take a look at it and let me know in comments what you think about it: is it too short, is it clear? :-).
If you are keen to join, please leave a comment as soon as possible. I am adding in comment the link to a Google doc with the html - anyone is free to copy it if they wish and to readapt it to his/her own need (just mention me the first time you use it).
Doestoevsky's THE IDIOT
BOOK ... - CHAPTER ...
(Source)
INTRODUCTION
Here, add your own introduction about THE IDIOT or your chapter specifically. Maybe remind what happened in the last chapters and who wrote the article. No need to be very long. Introduce yourself if it's the first time you write for the bookclub, for example, and if you like reading (of course you like reading!). It will be the first thing your user reads.
Cast of Characters
Just list here the characters who are appearing in this chapter (and a short description if you want):
1. Character X
2. Character Y
3. Character Z
What is happening?
Please add here anything relevant about what is going on in this chapter. Since we will all be reading at the same rhythm, don't worry about spoilers... Just tell a summary of the chapter's story, and add your own reflexions about it. Be creative. What are the themes explored? Is there any mystery unfolding? Does it remind you a scene in a movie? Who would play each character in your mind? Did it bore you โ tell us why! How do you think the story will keep going? Anything you want, really. Ask the other members what they thought and expose a theory you have about the chapter and the story and characters.
Here is a second paragrah, because this should be the longest part of your post - so you might want to create paragraphs. If you want to create another paragraph, just copy this one with the br right after the last markdown.
Memorable quote from this chapter
Add here any comment about that quote if you wish it to.

Conclusion
Please add here anything you feel like about the direction the story might take. Send a message to the next participant who will have to write about the next chapter... :)
Here is the link to the Template in Google Doc:

I made it simple: you just need to modify the text which is in black. Normally, just let anything else in RED as it is, to keep the same format as in this post.

Thanks a lot @artizm... Truth is that there are not so many people interested in the bookclub... We will see how it goes!
hope will go very nicely .. yes the number of people reading books is small but hope to be better :)
Amazing article !! Just loved it โค๏ธ
It is good and i have no suggestions.
Thanks @alignment! :) Of course, this template is optional. If someone wants to do it differently, it's possible... Stay tuned!
I'm so sorry, I was on the road, haven't click the replies section! :(
But I read Idiot on my language about a month ago, I never read Dostoevsky in English, because my language is similar to Russian, so it's kind of fun to this :)
The whole second chapter with Mishkin is so witty so I can't choose one quote, but a small scene from the first chapter would be:
The old fellow went straight off to Nastasia Philipovna, touched the floor with his forehead, and began blubbering and beseeching her on his
knees to give him back the diamonds. So after awhile she brought the box and flew out at him. โThere,โ she says, โtake your earrings, you wretched old miser; although they are ten times dearer than their value to me now that I know what it must have cost Parfen to get them! Give Parfen my compliments,โ she says, โand thank him very much!โ.
Such strong scene, you almost feel the shame yourself, and you feel this is just a begging of what's to come.
Hello @marinauzelac! Don't worry: we have not yet officially started. This article was just to propose this template for the article - optional. We need to agree a few more things before to begin :)
Ok! :)
For a minute there I thought I missed out :)
About suggestions, I think if you can't find a particular quote, we could write a favorite scene from the chapter and something about why that scene made an impression, like I did in the comment above :)
Does that make sense?
It makes totally sense! I will update the template with a section like this! Thanks!
Great! Looking forward to this! :)
