Let me introduce Timothy Ferris before we get into this incredible book! Tim is an American Entrepreneur, Angel Investor in companies like Uber, Twitter, Evernote and DuoLingo, Author of 5 books and a regular public speaker. He is widely known for his famous podcast 'The Tim Ferris Show' which is actually where I found him and became interested in his wider background. He's done LOTS of things and met LOTS of really interesting people and this is really portrayed in his work. He's honest, completely genuine and very successful at what he does best which is educating people and connecting people with the 'titans' of society today.

A little bit about the book without spoiling it

This book is literally a goldmine of interesting facts, hacks, experiments and wisdom. The book is very extensive and consists of profiles on the most interesting and prolific people Tim has ever encountered. Each account is different due to every person featured in this book being inherently different. They may share similarities in some sense such as there are a few Billionaires, but what's unique about the book is that it focuses on the habits, views and advice of all these unique individuals, and not just the title that society gives them. It really focuses on what makes them tick, what are their views, what are their habits and what are their guilty pleasures. Tim does an amazing job of summarising everything to make it a really easy, enjoyable and empowering read.

It is split into certain sections, each purposely meant to lean in one direction or another. Such as Healthy, Wealthy and Wise.

Pages filled with advice, comedy and detailed explanations on certain exercises routines or experiments you can try out. There is something for everyone in this book!

The names of the people featured in the book are incredulous. Profiles include the likes of:
Paul Diamandis, Tony Robbins, Cal Fussman, Chris Sacca, Ryan Holiday, Marc Andreessen, Jocko Willink, Tara Brach, Sophia Amoruso, Brene Brown, Malcolm Gladwell, Margaret Cho, Seth Godin, Whitney Cummings, Amelia Boone... You get the picture.

How has it personally had an impact on me?

The book has become massively influential in my life. I learn best by observing what the best in their trade do and implementing some tactics that they use in my everyday life to improve and grow myself personally. I found worth in every aspect of my life in this book, whether it comes to business, meditation, exercise, diet, self-mastery, self-discipline and even creativity. It is a book I plan to take with me everywhere and I can already see certain benefits from stuff I've learnt in the book.

What's amazing is his completely modest way of interviewing each 'Titan', in that it is never made about him, even though I would argue that Tim has more than rightfully earned his place between these figures in society. I now cannot wait to read more of his stuff and I hope my post has inspired you to look into his work if you already haven't.

I am big fan of Tim Ferris. I was wondering how good this title would be. Thanks for the description.

Oohh I've heard so much good things about this book!! My type of book for sure. I have to get myself a copy asap...

Thanks for the review @eldergill! It is wonderful to find people that like the same books as I do! I will make sure to read this book :) Do you think the illustration is important in this book? Normally I hear books as audiobook...

I love the way you put stickers all over the book, as it is a schoolbook. I miss that oportunity in my audiobooks...

Hi again @benleo!

After reading your introduction to yourself I have no doubt that you would love this book!

The Illustration is really important in this book, the author makes it really simple and user-friendly in its approach, it isn't a book that you should read quickly, but rather a book you study and come back too every now and then for some inspiration.

It is actually a summary of his interviews with these inspirational 'Titans' on his podcast show which I would also highly recommend, it is called the Tim Ferris Show. In that case, it is similar to an audiobook, but in the case of this book, it wouldn't work purely as an audiobook in my opinion. This is because the interviews are far too personal and you would lose the uniqueness if it was read just like a normal audiobook.

Once you've read it, I look forward to hearing your opinion :)

Hi again :)

Cool thanks for the information! I will head over to the shop and get this book! Often I work a lot and do not get time to read regular books, but inn my holidays I love reading paper books. To say it in a simple way: I look forward to my next holiday ;)
