The Author

The art of war is written by a Chinese war general called Sun Tzu who is also a renowned military strategist and philosopher from the Eastern Zhou period of Ancient China. He was alive between the period of 544BC - 496BC when there was lots of War and politically challenging occurrences within Ancient China. His book is used as a book to see through adversity and come out on top.

A little bit about the book

The art of war is a world-renowned book in the world of business. It was most famously used when by Evan Speigel, the founder of Snapchat bought six copies for the six employees of Snapchat when they came under pressure to Facebook who was threatening them with a similar product to Snapchat.

Sun Tzu's book in many words and quotes, depicts the most important lessons for life and business when it comes to achieving greatness. There are endless lessons on Strategy, Management, Tactics, Persona and the Wellbeing of your people. There are even tips simply in place to give you a more meaningful life and prosperity, such as the simple rule of waking up early every day which really goes a long way in aiding the achievement of greatness and happiness.

If anyone wants to start a business or be a high-level executive in any field that makes the most important, decisive decisions, this is a book that you cannot afford to not read. Its 13 Chapters are packed full of insight which has worked throughout the ages and is likely to continue to do so due to the way human beings are wired.

The book that I bought was the Amazon Classics version and I had no complaints. The introduction and the notes sections were great and of course, the book itself is fantastic.
