There is a free promo running for my book on prolonged fasting. This goes during the whole day of February 8, 2018, and it should be available on all Amazon websites.

What's Periodic Fasting all about? Well, here are a couple of topics:

  • personal experiments with prolonged fasting
  • fasting in the animal kingdom (interesting data on penguins and bears)
  • fasting experiments in history (Luigi Cornaro, Upton Sinclair, etc)
  • early modern research on fasting - The 1960s and George Cahill's work
  • contemporary research on prolonged fasting
  • and more.

If this seems appealing, following the link below to get your free Kindle copy. If you do, I'd appreciate a short and honest review on its official (amazon.com) page because this helps me a lot as an author.

Mersi fain! Apreciez, si astept si feedback in privat!

I will check this out, thanks.

I'm doing, well I should say I started doing some time ago Intermittent fasting, where I only eat once a day, or say in some 4-5 hours window. Plus cutting out unnecessary carbohydrates.

But I think I can't claim this any more even if I'm still eating only once a day (well in that 4-5 hours window I may eat more than once, but you get the point). I'm drinking coffee (addicted) with coconut oil in it. My guess would be, that because of coconut oil, I can't call it Intermittent fasting, any more. But it does help not overeating through the day ;-)

People just don't realize how important fasting is. Gives some organs like livers some break and rest. Plus, if you look long time ago, stone age, hunters... we were eating when we had a food and many times there was no food, for days, so fasting is embedded in hour history. Our body is used to it. And now a days we are eating all day long. No wonder world obesity is on a rise. But you probably mention all this in your book and I'm not adding anything useful here :-)

Well yes, it depends who you're asking. If you want to do strict IF, you'll only be consuming water and black coffee or unsweetened tea in your fasting window. Of course, we're living in times of plenty and we've not been used to that, evolutionarily speaking...

Read it a few years ago, great book! It's probably the reason I got into IF.

One of the first experiments i've done on myself was to see how much I resist without food, water and sleep. No all at the same time, but to my surprise, the food was easiest of the challenges. I am curious about your book, I'll let you know

How far did you go?

I am interested about food and healthy lifestyle and I can't wait to read your book.

Nice writing @cristi and very informative ;) good job

Salut Cristi. Zi placuta.

Astept! Lectura faina!

This is so nice of you @cristi! Now all I have to do is charge my Kindle! Did you write another one about Keto? cheers

Yes, my first book, Ketone Power, is all about that!

That's so awesome, I will have to look into it! Zi frumoasa @cristi!

Asemenea iti doresc!
