1940(something) Bombardier Penguin.

Before Jay heads off to work tomorrow we went out and got a road plowed out to a remote cabin where this super cool 1940(something) Bombardier Penguin is sitting (hasn’t ran in 20+years).
I will be helping the owner get it out of its current location and closer to the highway where the guy can get a flatbed semi in to take it home. Stay tuned!

Damn that thing is cool. Like a civilian tank for the winter. Very cool!

Its amphibious too!
I guess it was a medical vehicle for the military back in its day.

Ooooooo 😯 Even better! That would be an awesome toy!

Ok, so there’s not much else to say except, I WANT ONE! Lol. This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while. It doesn’t snow here but I reckon it’d Make a pretty sweet bugout vehicle! :)

I want one too!! That thing is soo sweet!
I told the guy that when he is done restoring it I definitely want to go for a ride in it!
Supposedly there is less than a handful of these left.
It would make an amazing bugout vehicle it's amphibious so it really can go anywhere, I'd hate to get that thing stuck though!

I think the Diesel Brothers in the US restored one of these. Something similar anyway. It was awesome. It even had a matching trailer. I think they were used as troop transport and medical vehicles. This one...

Maybe not the same kind of vehicle but similar. So damned cool!

Oh yeah, would be hard to get bogged butbif you did...You’d need a T72 tank to pull you out. :)

That's a cool swamp buggy! Just right for the northwoods swamps and snow.
It looks like that one has been sitting under the pine trees for a long time....
Did you have to plow the road across a frozen lake? That's kind of what it looks like.

It's been sitting under spruce and pine trees for 20years+. Yes, we had to plow across the lake to get to it.
