The MEDIA Protocol is a platform that can directly reward creators for their work, without intermediaries involved in the reduction or collection of personal data. The MEDIA protocol is not an application itself, but a software development kit that can be used by programmers to create decentralized applications; one of which has been created using the platform.

The team also released its own MEDIA kripta currency token, which will serve as the only currency used in the application ecosystem built on the platform.

The actual MEDIA Protocol product is a suite of software development tools designed to easily create an internal architecture for decentralized applications intended for multimedia communications, including video, music or text.

Content creators can directly publish their work and benefit from users, if they manage subscriptions or payment functions, or from advertisers who access through the traffic they create. Users can also obtain tokens for their participation, either as rewards for distributing content on their social networks, or from advertisers who prefer to pay for their attention. In the end, any application that implements the protocol will differ both in the rewards system and its content.

The first application to use the MEDIA protocol is called CryptoCatnip; Previous versions are currently available on Google Play and iTunes, but will not be fully functional until MEDIA token is released. This app is entirely devoted to Crypto currency news.

The platform will also include Content Recommendation Server that will use existing team talents with artificial intelligence to connect users with content that they may be interested in.
