I think of a blog as a digital representation of my physical self. It's why I prefer not being anonymous. I think, in some ways, anonymity can lead to bad results because people are not held accountable to their ugly actions. When reputation can be created and destroyed easily, it has no value.

That said, I do appreciate the ability it gives people to start fresh and avoid prying eyes from pressures which might otherwise cause them to self-censor. So yeah, it's a nuanced topic for sure.
