Blockchain is Transaction Focused

In order for individuals (people/bots) to take advantage of the steem blockchain we need some way to utilize models and analysis to make money. In my opinion this will require a more user-centric viewpoint on steemit*. Right now the blockchain is, rightly, skewed to transactions. A way to look at users versus transactions would allow us to more efficiently analyze our postings.

Metrics and Analytics

Some ways to analyze from a user-centric viewpoint:

1. Follower growth rate.

• Follower/Following ratio.
• Categorize post counts by Images, Links, and text only.
• Total Engagement metrics.
  • Upvotes per post.
  • Resteems per post.
  • Comments per post.
  • Link backs per post.
  • Clicked links per post.
• Follower Engagement metrics.
  • Upvotes per post.
  • Resteems per post.
  • Comments per post.
  • Link backs per post.
  • Clicked links per post.

The above metrics are some of the ones outlined by social media analytic experts. Because of a high degree of data being written to the steem blockchain, we have the ability to go beyond the above metrics. We can parse the data all the way down to power applied to the upvotes. The real key is to getting are analysis down to how we get more efficient at posting content that gets votes and that leads to making money.

Analysis of My Own Growth Rate

I still haven't reached my goal of 2xing my growth rate. I wanted to go from .81 followers/day to 1.81 followers/day. Instead I have reached the lofty level of 1 follower/day. I tried various strategies. They appeared to be helpful, but I think the number one way to increase followers is to actually post content. So I will now try to add at least one post per day. While still following my other strategies.
