RIP Asma Jahangir, Thank You for all your hard work, this country does not deserve people like you. Thank you for being steadfast in your believes even after all the criticism you recieved. This country tried its best to degrade and discredit you and throw shit at you, but that never stopped you. Thank you for fighting against fascism and oppression. You dared to stand alone against the dictators, religious extremists, politicians, the elites and defended the downtrodden. Your death brings to end an era, there is no one to fight against wrong, and promote right anymore. We lost a sane voice today. In her her struggle for a liberal, progressive, democratic Pakistan she remained on the right side history. In her case “The success is not final, the failure is not fatal: its the courage to continue that counts” & she fought till the last breath. You were a real life superhero and your death is an irreplaceable loss. Rest in Peace.
