And now with the sun after the rain they are everywhere! I will go tomorrow and check the spot i found last yeh, there were many smoersopp and steinsopp, but no chanterells! Those mushrooms (or simular ) are here at the bottom of the path.. its all about what tree they grow under or on to really determine what they are

oh and fuck the names dissapearing and now vanished from my head..
aha! Forresopp! easy to spot as they are white, and cook up nice :)

ps.. mail me the location, its thursday right?! Can come earlier to help setup if you need it of course :) I have a 6 man tent which I found in Jysk trash, will bring it with to test it!

We have found several types of edible mushrooms lately as well @movingman. I was afraid it would be a bad season this year, but it seems not :)

Our Mabon event is from Friday to Sunday.
I seem to have lost my password to my Protonmail though, and at the moment I am locked out from trying to log in more times for some hours...
Worst case I could pass you the information over just normal email or over discord. ( or set up a new protonmail account :p )

if you have the app, i noticed there was an update available, and previously I was not receiving emails without delay! my proton is [email protected] :P

You got mail :)

What kind of mushrooms are those, and are they edible?

Stubbeskjellsopp, maybe?

Its either Stubbeskjellsopp or Flatklokkehatt...

Stubbeskjellsopp is edible, but Flatklokkehatt is poisenous as you might now. I dont feel good enough at seperating those two kind of mushrooms, so I did not pick any.

Do you have a good way to seperate the two types @tobixen?

I should ask my mother about that - I do remember we used to pick Stubbeskjellsopp and Honningsopp, but I don't remember exactly how we identified the Stubbeskjellsopp. Perhaps my wife knows. Long time since I've been out picking mushrooms, should consider getting out one of those days ...

(That's the curse with having a boat, much less time for any other activities or projects ... though, we have been picking mushrooms on some of the islands we've been visiting)

What kinda mushrooms have you been finding out on islands?

Me and @umulius is soon going out looking for mushrooms around here. It should be optimal mushroom conditions today, with the sun showing itself after several days of crazy rain.

Let me know if you find out more about seperating the two types, I will also read a bit about it online myself :)

Once my son found a Morchella elata (spissmorkel) at Saraholmen (small island between Borøya and Kalvøya, Bærum), that wasn't in the autumn but in the spring. My wife and a friend was finding quite some chantarelles at the peninsula at Sandspollen. I don't think we did any mushroom hunting at Håøya, but I guess there is quite a lot there as well. On the very north tip of Jeløya, towards Bevøysund there are lots of wild strawberries.

Don't pick them unless you really know them.

Atleast not consum them, and wash your hands after picking stuff @zorank... I know mushroom safety and the most common species around here well, so I feel safe enough :)

I like mushroom kebabs..

I strangely dont enjoy food mushrooms that much @mik1. Mushroom soy sauce is awesome though, and magic mushrooms is a chapter of its own! Not to mention awesome stuff like mushroom fabrics (fake leather), and antibactarial / medicinal mushrooms like the amarilla species. Mushrooms are amazing!

I found this ugly one the other day do you have chicken of the woods there?
