In the darkness search of light
You cannot have good start from zer0 because number of views will be dramaticaly low - that's a point what I wanna talk about
https://steemit.com/steemit/@xenitron/non-stop-advertising-of-steemit-will-not-make-steemit-great-if-you-do-it-without-a-soul - 21 views / 7 comments. Its not about $, we are talking about people views and positive comments, they like content but so few people can read it
Logic and numbers, that's why we are here, not on the site, but in general. You ask - but what about emotions? Emotions are what enables us to create, in positive way, things that make the world a better place. But in some reason, the mind overcomes emotions, because positive thinking becomes naive, no we dont become more cold, but only adjust to the environment, to the way it takes us. Become a man John Snow.
The state of affairs on the Steemit today is such that the amount of content prevails over the quality of content, if you are a new member of the community, and you do not have popularity or friends among the nobility. I do not see the point to spend the time from day to week to create on good content, until I get more popular here. Moreover, become more popular, I can't do it by making good content, so I'll just have to act according to the laws of the jungle to survive here.
There is a light in the dark, we have to unite with others. Because there is no other way, we need to make new friendship, get acquainted constantly, comment more, only in this way. And then, with all the heart, we can create truly interesting content for a wide range of people. But what we have to go through, we need to step over ourselves in a sense and create a lot of content just for people find you. This is not the best way, but it is only one with current system on Steemit.
Maybe in the future there will be responsible folks on Steemit who will follow new users, and most importantly, to separate stories consisting of copyright, pictures from the web and truly worthwhile stories from life, but this future has not yet come.
Follow me if you like my vision, I upvote you in future
Couldn't agree with you more on this post, sad state of affairs. Perhaps expectations are not inline with reality I suppose, now onto finding that reality.
Upvoted/followed because I felt this was from the heart, something in short supply here.
That is true.
I spend hours on most of my posts but they are most likely going to be disregarded and not be read.
However, I don't want to spew out garbage and get called by people for being a spammer or not bringing anything good to the community.
I upvote and leave a comment its beacuse I like the content it does make sense. This is most of the post that I like to read time to time by keep reading here and following your post I will learn more to write posts that does make sense.
Great post. That's what I'm trying to do. Follow, upvote and connect with people I could be friends with and whom I share many of the same views. As time passes we will get a stronger presence on Steemit both with follower base and steempower. Just have have patience.
Good post I like with your post. Do not forget my restem @xenitron
I agree with this so strongly! All the content I put out tries to come from the heart (except for the occasional lol post). If steemit wants to grow in a positive direction it has to decide what to post and what to keep working on. Followed to show support. All the best
It's a crap-shoot, dude. It's a lottery with marginally free tickets, if you factor in the time lost to post and such.
I can understand your plight and the feeling of being discouraged at the sight of not getting noticed. The best advice I can give you (and all new minnows) is too not spend too much time trying to make the most amazing and well put article you can (when you only have a few followers). As you have experienced, they fall through the cracks and not many people see them. Instead of doing that, start hammering down on commenting on established peoples posts that interest you. You will gain more followers and in turn, when you have a decent enough following, your posts will show up in their feed instead of falling down into the Steemit abyss. Hope this helps and best of luck!
I want to survive here and it is hard. I see big players just got bigger and small ones feeds them.

Great post - I really enjoyed the photography! I agree, it seems that the good stuff gets buried among tons of quantity based posts. I have been trying to determine when the best window to post is, but so far, none of my data collection has provided enough insight as to what I should do to continue to have my work seen, and of course hopefully upvoted or commented on. We have to stick together like you said - don't become discouraged - keep it up!
