Holding a diamond
A few months back, I had diamond grading classes and there we were taught different things about diamonds. From the mining of the diamonds to the final piece of jewellery, everything was taught there.
It was all theory but there was some times when they showed us the actual things and we got the opportunity to do the real things. He showed us all the apparatus used while grading a diamond. The instrument which fascinated me the most was a pen shaped holder which is used to hold precious small diamonds more firmly. Here is a boomerang of that instrument. It looks cute. Check it out.
The stems come from the pen shaped tool and grab the diamond firmly to avoid it falling down unexpectedly. These type of tools help the gemologist in a great way in avoiding the accidents thus eliminating the risk of precious diamonds getting break.
