Since we are about to move into a new home

We need some things for our new home. Some of it isn't really needs but because I play the Shop Your Way Rewards sweeps and the Win it App games I win points for money off at Sears or Kmart on any items in the store. Plus being a member if you watch the home page of the shop your way site you get offers for "free cash" in certain departments. Some times you have to spend a certain amount to get the "free cash" that can't be used with coupons, but can be used with other shop your way points. So this means I have acquired a good handful of stuff from Sears and Kmart for our new house free or nearly free with very little out of pocket. And when I can't find something I need for the house and can get an item free I start looking for gifts for birthdays and Christmas. And because I am a Shop your Way Max member I get free shipping on items over $25 even if I use points to pay for it, that is why you will see totals smaller than the shipping.

Here are a few screen shots of just a few of the things I have gotten free or nearly free in the last few weeks.

We have base cabinets in our build in our bathrooms and we needed a storage solutions these at $4.78 is another great score.

This can organizer will be a great addition to our kitchen and the tools was one of the other items I added to my son's 18th birthday gift, we want him to have a good set of tools when he flies the nest.

I can even find things with those "Free Bonus" Cash points in the sporting goods department and free grocery items are an easy score. I was able to get 5 free 2-liters.

Got to love free clothing

My husband and I for every day wear don't mind cheap clothing. Yes we have our nice stuff but if it is free I have a saying it is for me. If I can't use it, a shelter or neighbor can normally. This is only a few of the items I have gotten for free from using these two apps. I sign up for all the reward programs when I shop some place. I figure if they are going to give me free stuff I am going to take it. I am glad I have because I have gotten a ton of things free for the new house.

It might not sound like a lot but it is the grand total value off all these free stuff is well over $400 and it is just under 2 months and that doesn't include the other clothing, jewelry, toys, tools and groceries I have also gotten for free.
My kids use to make fun of me, now not so much because of my coupons and other ways to save benefits them. Today Kmart has the Little Ones diapers and wipes 100% back in points up for $50. I decided to help my oldest daughter out and get her a big box of diapers and a big package of wipes, I also bought some rubbing alcohol as my van doors were frozen this morning. My total came to $40.40 after tax but I am getting back $44.76 back in points.

I know this tricks and tips won't work for everyone. But if you are struggling to make ends meet and are in the United States this is a way to get some of the things you need for free or very little out of pocket. I use my points on things for the house and gifts and if I don't need any of those things I get stuff to donate to the local shelter. They can always use toiletries.
